  1. ive got a friend who in his night stand took an old holster and screwed it to the inside top of the nightstand then notched the drawer so that you can open and close the drawer but not have the gun in plain sight when opened. my pistol stays in the bed room in a not so sneaky local, i need to find a better place. few weeks back i went up north and had everything packed in totes in the living room even the guns (wont do that again). my gf dont sleep to well normally if im snoreing or what ever she will go in the spare room and sleep but leave the tv on in the living room to have some noise to drowned me out. well that night about 3am i wake up hearing the front door open or close slowly, freaked the poop outta me. knowing my pistol was packed away for travel like a moron. i grab the louieville slugger and snuck down the hall to find my gf in the living room, she didnt sleep at all and went out for a smoke. she scared the ever living fornicate outta me. she's not "comfertable" with guns i have tried to get her to shoot with me she wont. so my old baseball bat stays in the bed room also. before i had my pistol it was a win. 1300 with the slugg barrel on it in the closet.
  2. get high enough up in the tree and they've got no clue where its comeing from or which way to run:D
  3. Just adding to my collection. I was running "low" on .40 plus I don't wanna burn up all the police issue hollow points I got so I bought more target ammo.
  4. think the next thing id like to add is a reasonably priced light weight bi pod. somthing to attach to my tactical rail. thanks
  5. glad im young enough that i dont have to deal with that, my parents are outta that stubborn im not going to the DR era. or atleast they are smart enough to go in regularly. i would hate to deal with that poop.

  7. yup glad i live in the upper midwest, the occational tornado and blizzard is about all we get.
  8. have yet to use the .308 on big game yet, but in my 30-06 i use win 150 grain power point or power point max bonded. ever deer i have shot has tipped right over, its also what my buddy shoots and its been the same with him. few years back he was up on a ridge in a stand and i was making a drive in the bottems pushing the deer his way along a river edge. he ended up shooting a deer and was trying to direct me towards the deer. as hes telling me i should be right on top of it i saw was looked like a 5 gal bucket of red koolaid splashed out in the snow and just the other side was the deer he shot. it was amazing, great shot at about 250-300 yards. cant wait to hunt with my .308
  9. hmmmm, i think it happens with everyone. i donno how a person can go off one other persons opinon when buying somthing. i did alot of reading last winter before i ordered my gun, lurked in alot of forums, read alot of reviews, watched alot of youtube videos. honestly one of the only reason beside reviews being good and a friend at work and my barrel builder friends saying RRA was a good builder was that it had all the add ons i wanted. i get a kick outta people who are like OHHHHH DPMS,RRA, Chevy, Ford, Yamaha, Kawi is grabage i knew a guy who had a cousin whos brother had one of those and it was poop you shoudnt buy one of them. glad you were able to get your hands on a RRA drop im alil jealous, i wish i could have, i wish it would have came in in the 3-4 month window it was suppose to, but oh well. maybe when im in the market for a 5.56 ill get my hands on an RRA.

russ, some used brown mustard to make their rub stick better, other use veg oil. any input?? PS i pulled some smoked trout outta the freezer a few weeks back that i vac sealed, man i think it was better after being frozen and thawed then it was the first time around. thats one thing i love about vac sealing things, sometimes it makes things better trapping in all that goodness

  13. Hell the one guy picked up the fire extinguisher, spray them in the face while someone else beats them over the head. I know it's just a training video but that hysterical bitch is as good as dead leave her behind she'll thake attention off yourself
  14. thought the same thing, im gonna get as far as i can possible from that building if there's a shooter/s in the building. just saw a thing on cheaper then dirts FB this morning, its a picture of some people shooting at a range and the caption says "why do almost all shooting happen in gun free zones and not shooting ranges". not always can i carry, when i go places i cant (we do work in illinios) i always make sure ive got something on myself to defend myself specially when in a shady area. weather its a flat head screw driver or a knife we use on the job, im not going down with out a fight.

thank you russ. my mom makes a really good creamy slaw so im going to have her make a batch of that to go with it. ive got an electric smoker (i know im a cheater, but it makes making jerky alot easier).
  16. Thats how it came? I noticed the stock was the different then what the DPMS site shows, I guess I didn't notice the rail? I'll have to take a closer look as to the rail.

Labor day weekend I'm going to smoke a pork butt for my birthday party I have every year. I ground some pretty good guidelines to fallow off google (temp time all the good stuff) I was wondering if you guys had any tips for rubs, or home made BBQ sauces? Was thinking about making 2-3 different kinds of sauce. Thanks Neal
  18. thanks, i found that out when i went to my buddies :D wasnt a wasted trip tho got to talk guns for awhile:D
  19. i havent had a a problem with mine prolly have 100 rounds thru it. where you buy chance using reloads? i was talking to a guy the other day that told me not to use reloads for the first 100-200 rounds. his buddy had some .308 loads that he had for his bolt rifle and twice this guy had the round stuck in the end of the barrel, but now has no issues. there is that one thread in the DPMS area about extraction problems, all i know is i like my gun and it shoots great
