Found this and thought it was interesting. Here is a breakdown of what a barrel of oil creates: 22.6 gallons of gasoline — enough to drive 622 miles in the average American car 6.7 gallons of diesel — enough to drive 41.7 miles in a tractor-trailer 5.5 gallons of jet fuel — not enough to fly a fully loaded 747 one mile. You'll get about 0.95 miles 2.4 gallons of "still gas," a mixture of gas produced in refineries 2.2 gallons of "marketable coke," a residue used in the production of aluminum anodes, furnace electrodes and liners and shaped graphite products 1.5 gallons of fuel oil, often used for heating or for fueling locomotives, ships and for power generation systems 1.2 gallons of liquefied gas, which is used in heating appliances and vehicles, and increasingly replacing chlorofluorocarbons as an aerosol propellant and a refrigerant 0.8 gallons of asphalt 0.4 gallons of lubricants, often placed in greases 0.7 gallons of other products I can see an increase in demand would cause prices to go up due to you don't get as much diesel from a barrel of oil. But with bio diesel should that be able to offset the cost of higher demand. DNP, My main concern with new 6 speed trannies is more moving parts so whats the reliability going to be like and with the car makers trying to keep weight down how thin are those parts that you need for longevity.

:threadjack: Yep we don't seem to be talking about your new car anymore do we <laughs>

This is my line of thinking as far as bullet length goes, longer bullets seated to the same as the shorter bullets means your going to have more bullet in the case and less case volume as a result and a rise in pressure. I keep my brass within 1.5gr of each other for 20 piece lots or one mag so I think I'm good to go there. You know ever since I found this problem with the different lengths I haven't ran the cronny for this trouble shooting process maybe I need to change that. I measured the Pmag and they can take up to 2.820" and still feed reliably, my DPMS mags can take 2.840 which should be good for the .660 length bullets. The .633 bullets seated at the ogive length of 2.176 is pretty much 2.800" +or- .005" due to tip variances. Looking at what you said that I highlighted in red makes me think that I'm on the right path thanks survivalshop I'm going to push on and load the next batch of test rounds should only be 15 rounds (3-5 round groups) since theirs only 3 different bullet lengths to deal with.

Speaking of Tranny's my wife just bought an Honda Accord sport that has CVT transmission no gears just a chain between two pulleys that change the ratio by changing the width of the grove the chain rides in. You feel no shifting at all just push on the gas and go.

Now see you guy's make more sense than whole group of engineers at the big three unless big oil paying them to keep quite. I mean look at trains there diesel electric and look how far and how much weight they haul. I know technology been out there for awhile but it probably being suppressed by some special interest group like tree hugers.

Alrighty finally got to go to the range for an hour today, this waiting till I have time is for the birds I wish I could step out in the back yard like some of you guy's. Well enough of me crying and on to the results. As you can see the .633" bullet length seated to a ogive depth of 2.176" (all bullets lengths seated to this ogive length) did the best in grouping at 100 yards. The .645" bullets seam to scatter and came back some with the .660" bullets. There was a point of impact shift between all three bullet lengths. So I guess my next step is going to be to base all my seating off the .633" length so the .645" will be seated to 2.188" ogive length and 2.203" respectively. One problem I might run into is the 2.203" might be over mag length for my Pmags but should still fit my DPMS steel mags. Man I can't help but wounder if I'm totally off the beaten path here or on the right track any words of wisdom from you guy's? Oh and the target in the upper left corner is my 147gr pull down plinking load dam near out performing my match load and I didn't even try that hard on it go figure.

Ya I was getting ready for work drinking my coffee when I turned the news on and saw this. I told my wife this was no accident seeing that I was involved in aviation in the Navy and knew something about modern avionics. Then the second plane hit and I said we are under attack and now at war. The image of that day is seared in my brain and will never forget it. And now we have a president thats giving it all way, the only thing that is finished is Osama Binladin is dead but Alkida is still kicking and fighting.

When you let off the trigger after the first round can you feel the trigger reset and the disconnector release the hammer to the sear?

Ya it be nice to see some of them put their carriers on the line to protect our freedom and constitutional rights versus sending our boys out to do it for them with their lives and blood.

The latest I heard is Obummer is back peddling because he has no support for this so he tosses it to congress so he can blame them for any thing that goes wrong like starting WWIII.

Well lets see started the day off buy doing some cleaning down in the basement to get rid of some mold that we discovered a couple of weeks ago what a mess. Almost finished now only few hours left and we'll be done. When I had enough cleaning I took a break and then spent a few hours at the bench loading some 200gr lswc for my 1911. Tomorrow after church we'll be at mom's for some lunch and my step dads birthday party. Monday I'm going to be lazy and do some grilling. Then its back to big brown sweat box.

Missouri has open carry but the cities can disallow it with there own laws. Currently Lee' Summit doesn't have any laws against open carry and I've only seen a couple of people doing it in the 10 years that I have lived in this city. One of the reasons I don't, never know when your going to cross into a city that doesn't allow it. Our fearless leader Jay Nixon (D) vetoed a law that would of allowed open carry through the whole state as long as you have your conceal carry permit. The republicans from my understanding are going to over ride his veto and have the votes to do it, this is also the same bill that would nullify any and future federal gun laws. Would love to see this pass needles to say the Governor will not have return trip to the office or any body with a (D) after there name.

That was cool <thumbsup>

So whats it going to take for Congress to impeach his ass he obviously doesn't care about the people or the Constitution just power and the abuse of it.
