  1. Nicely said <thumbsup> The only problem I see is the government is not listening, they already have made up there mind and it time for them to try to run our lives. >:(
  2. And were all up the creek without a paddle
  3. They better save that mil for the lawsuits from shooting up regular people.
  4. The 49gr is scattered a lot more than the 49.9gr. The charge weights right before and right after the 49.9 weight seem to have the same relative point of impact even though there more spread out, gives me the impression that this weight might be the most forgiving. I've labeled my cases for the seating depth test now just got to load them up. My range is 2.775"-2.820" five rounds each. My guess is that should hit a node before getting down to the 2.775" depth then I'll pull the rest.
  5. So does CA have the death penalty or do they feel he's just misunderstood and can reenter society after only serving 10 years of a life sentence.
  6. Wow thought I would never see a modern day shoot first ask later by the police these clowns need to be fired and the dept. as whole needs to investigated on procedure violations and supervision of the whole mess. I mean really a white guy in the wrong color truck and not even the same make. I guess I know how Frankenstein got reelected now :cookoo:

  10. Started a new load today since the weather was nice today (I thought of you today imschur ) and I had to get some trigger time. My goal with this is a plinking load with mixed brass. The components are Winchester primers, CFE223 powder, 147gr pull downs and mixed cases. Starting charge was 48.4gr ending was 50.8gr. Book values were starting 48.4 and max of 51.5gr. Since this is going in mixed cases I new I wasn't going for max so 50.8 as far as I loaded test rounds to. My col was around 2.820 but those of you who have loaded these pull downs know they are pretty inconsistent so if they fit in the mag they were good to go. Took the chrony with me today but the results were not what I expected <dontknow> it was cloudy today so that might be why. here's my averages with ES and SD's powder fps es sd 48.4 2599 29 15 48.7 no test 49.0 2582 8 4 49.3 2603 26 14 49.6 2600 46 23 49.9 2623 15 7 50.2 2579 7 3 50.5 2595 64 35 50.8 no test I was figuring my velocities should have ended at about 2700 fps with this powder and 16" barrel especially since I'm getting 2650 fps with my 168's. Well If I was to ignore the chrony data and go off of my targets its still going to at 50.0gr charge. So here's the target pics. and I await your comments <thumbsup>.
  11. Glad you got it running <thumbsup>
  12. Man seeing crap like this makes me think the country is just at part of the swirl were there is no hope of return.

  15. My mom still has my dads flag, he was a WWII navy vet USS New Jersey bofors between the stacks was his gun. Can't remember if he was on port or starboard side. Here's a pic of him and his shipmates wiping the shells down with cosmoline. He's the one with the dixiecup on the left. Here's the type of gun he was on, wish I could pull the or in this case push the trigger on one of these. 16. Welcome waterboy, I'm just south of ya in MO. Driving the .308 will be like going from an 4 cyl. motor to an 8. I love shooting mine can't wait to get out again and do it some more, would like to stretch my rifles legs and shoot beyond 200 yards though.
  17. Nice job survivalshop <thumbsup>
  18. Don't know what type of hand guard you have but this is what I did when I had the Glacier guards on. http://308ar.com/forum/general-discussion/instaling-a-bi-pod-on-m4-hand-gaurd/msg31133/#msg31133
  19. Very nice I'm glad you and your family had a successful hunt this year <thumbsup>
  20. Interesting read I wounder how well they would do with my 12-15 lbs. .308 :o
  21. Spit all over my keyboard after this one <lmao> <laughs>
  22. With CFE 223 and 168gr bullet I can get around 146 rounds per pound of powder. Just bought an 8 lbs. keg before things went crazy should be able to get around 1160 rounds of ammo. Its all going to depend on the bullet weight you decide to use. The lighter the bullet the more powder you will need for that load.
  23. Would like to see the FCC pull MSNBC license, that might help restore some integrity to the media. But I forgot the FCC works for Obumer.
  24. Now that was cool <thumbsup>
