  1. I would love to see Ted give that Red Coat a boot in the bum
  2. Well I just installed my Christmas presents and I think I'm in love :love4: Installed my apex & my acs light had trouble with the barrel nut had to take it to a gunsmith because the wrench I barrowed from a friend was the wrong one even though it was for a DPMS .308. He only charged me $20.00 to take the D ring off so not to bad. The only problems I ran into other than that was a couple of the screws for the top rail ran into the gas tube so I had grind them down a little bit but all is well now. Still have some work to do I ran out of lock tight so I'll have to pick up a bottle and go over all the screws to make sure everything stays nice and tight. The first pic is before. Then the new look. Do you like?
  3. I'm the same as Shepp I've looked but never bought or sold.
  4. The gun grabbers are getting out of hand and need to leave this country if they don't like it period >:(.
  5. At the gun show yesterday one vendor was asking $70.00 for DPMS's steel 308 mags :cookoo:
  6. Picked up 8 lbs. of CFE 223 & 4 lbs of Unique along with a 1000 lr primers yesterday at the gun show. Was one of the first ones in so plenty of stock was left. Seemed like everybody was looking for magazines at the time but when that drys up I'm shore everybody is going to want to feed there EBR's
  7. Nice calipers <thumbsup>
  8. I went to the show today to pick up some reloading supplies and hopefully score on some stuff for my LR308. The show was suppose to open up at 8:00 am well I left the house at 6:00 am to get there an hour early and managed to be 5th in line, by the time they opened the line was at least a 100 yards long. New it was going to be crazy so I grabbed what I came for (powder & primers) then started looking around to see what was being offered and found a dealer selling some Magpul stocks and picked up the ACS Light <thumbsup>. As far as AR guns go I really didn't see to much a few here and there and a table with some uppers. Seemed like most people were looking for mags I did manage to find 4 pmags at $28.00 a piece but my funds were depleted by that point and it was getting pretty much nut to butt in there and thats how my day went how about you guy's?
  9. Yea your probably right I hear they come from CTD :puke:
  10. Went to the site and they had an official response president Obama want your military style weapons band.
  11. Well there you go a no cost repair I like those ;). Well almost going to cost a little ammo to tune it. If its the set screw type turn in a 1/4 turn then load 1 round in a magazine and shoot. Then do it again (1/4 turn 1 shot) until your bolt no longer locks back. Then open back up a 1/4 turn and test to see if your bolt locks back if it does your done and check your brass to if the damage has quit.
  12. Gun show coming to town this weekend I plan on going and picking up some reloading supplies and hopefully score a couple more Pmags but I'm not holding my breath probably be the most crowded show I'll go to.
  13. They want to be the model for the rest of the country because their murder rate is so low.
  14. Saw on the news some law makers are wanting MO to do the same <thumbsup>
  15. Yep I remember something like that the host said if you showed up with an AR you ridiculed and made fun of. When I told some of my friends I was going to take my LR308 this year they looked like I farted and said you need 20 rounds to take a deer. I told them my lever holds 6 and I seem to always come home with 5 so this time it would be the same since MO has capacity restriction. Everybody thinks your going to do a mag dump or go full auto on them. Just sick of the stereo type but I know those of that hunt with these fine rifles know better.
  16. Its hard to tell from the pics but some of your rims looked raised from the extractor which is an sign of early extraction from over gassing which can also cause the ejector swipes. When I put an adjustable gas block on my rifle all these problems went away for me.
  17. My new Apex hand guard should be here on Fri. can't wait. I think they look the best out of all the ones I looked at.
  18. <thumbsup> looks great. My Apex should be here by Fri. after seeing yours I can't wait to see how mine looks. I got the mid length to go over my low profile gas block.
  19. <lmao> <laughs> Well I guess he showed him who was more dominate. Now he's going to go after all the 10 pointers lady friends.
  20. Originally when I started reloading the .308 that was going to be my starting powder but it was so hard to come by I decided to go with the CFE 223 since it offered similar performance as 2000mr.
  21. Just because I showed you guy's my hole doesn't mean I'm that kind of girl <hump>
  22. NoFail, you have me thinking I should go a little higher on the charge weight since you went a full grain heavier than me. You got some nice velocities from that test to. I just got done processing the brass from the last test and I tell you what, its holding up alot better than the 168gr loads. I only had to trim 2 pieces out of the 30 that I shot and the primer pockets felt nice and tight like they haven't loosened up at all. I'm going to continue with my seating depth test and see what happens. Hopefully I'll be able to put up some chrony results this time.
  23. Alrighty then thanks guy's like I said I was just curious since the rifle runs for me I'm not going to worry about it. probably like Robo said there just soft shouldering it.
  24. Alright picture time <thumbsup>
  25. Yes we were standing shooting off hand. I can see the soft shoulder on a couple of the people that shot it but I don't think a couple of the other people that shot it would soft shoulder it. Is it possible to seal off the vent hole with your shoulder and cause short stroking? It was cool out and we did have on heavy jackets.
