    Finally

Got out to do some fishing after working and saving my pennies for a new scope and felt good to get back to the lake and relax some. Just to bad the fish weren't biting but it was a beautiful day <thumbsup>
  2. Just ordered a Bushnell 6500 elite 2.5-16x50 mil dot scope. Should be here on Wed.
  3. Nice job, hows the balance since you shaved all that off the front end.
  4. Getting ready to order an Bushnell elite 6500 2.5-16x50 A friend of mine gave me this broken bushnell so I sent it in to see how much to fix it and they totaled it and said if I trade it in they would give me 40% off a new one so its going to be $ 569.00 <thumbsup> Thanks for the heads up shepp
  5. I would like to recommend Missouri but I don't know what the tax laws are like for a business. The fishing is good the deer hunting is good and this is a free state although Kansas City and St. Louis are full of FSA types the rest of the state is pretty friendly. We have heat & humidity, winter is cold with some snow but not a staggering amount. Lots of lakes for fishing oh I mentioned that already :))
  6. I go away for a few days and look what happens :binkybaby: Congrats to you and the wife Matt.
  7. Looks like some home builds on the top canoes and creek boat.
  8. For fishing that is <thumbsup> Started getting the old (1970) Seasprite ready for this year Charging the batteries right now, this weekend I'm going to change the plugs and lower unit oil. So how many of you fish and what is your favorite catch? Mine is crappie and the biggest was 16" I'll see if I can find a couple of pics of some past catches and post them later.

    Grilling

Well it was such a nice day today I had to fire up the grill and try this today. Had a small bag of fish that I wanted to try this marinade on its Garozzo's Amogio and has this listed for ingredients: soybean oil, water, garlic, lemon juice concentrate, olive oil, salt and spices. Put the fillets in a bag with the marinade then went to fire up the grill After that I put the fish on and after a few minutes they were done The fish were delicious and flaky not dry at all. I'm thinking about adding some bread crumbs next time so the fish doesn't fall apart when I turn it. Oh and Shepp those look darn tasty I'm going to have to try that recipe <thumbsup>
  10. I don't have the tools but I do have the Oracle that I customized I ended up taking mine to a gun shop and paid $20.00 for them to remove my barrel nut and D ring and re installing the barrel nut. I had this done at C&R on Noland rd.
  11. Ah yes the sweetheart grips <thumbsup> Those guys new how to keep themselves occupied in between the battles and had some great ingenuity to do things like that in the field.

    Anybody..

Hodgdon list CFE223 starting at 46.6gr and max at 49gr with seirra 168gr pill and Winchester brass. I,m using PPU brass witch runs an avg. of 15gr heaveyer than the Winchester brass so I'm not even close to the book max for this powder and won't be able to with the brass and pill I'm using. I did find a nice accuracy node up at 48gr but started running into pressure issues when the temps started go up in the summer. By then the bozo in the white house had us in a powder shortage and I had to put things on hold for awhile but I'm back at it again. I have some chronograph numbers to go with it but I want to do a little more work with this first before I put them up with some target pics.

    Anybody..

When your not out pounding the pavement for next job it could give your mind some distraction and focus since you don't want a KaBoom with sharp looking stick of yours. As far as the A-max goes it looks like 47.2 gr will be the new charge weight just need to do some seating depth test. You know were all still pulling for you, it will happen. I've been off for past 4 weeks because of hernia surgery I had and I know if I didn't keep my mind occupied with reading the Bible or working at the bench I would of gone stir crazy. So the fact that your still putting your pants on each morning and looking means your tough enough to make it. <thumbsup> Just keep digging brother. Robert
  16. Your avatar is my weakness, I still find my self staring now and then. :love4:

Should make easier to bring those slabs home, not as much water to hide in :yup: I guess the spawn should be earlier down there since you guy's warm up sooner.
  20. Pretty much what he said, most of the problems people seem to complain about is 7.62 made from some less than reputable countries. I don't have first hand knowledge on this because my chamber is the 7.62. It just a year or two ago there were a lot of complaints about feed problems with some foreign ammo. You could always pick up a box of American Eagle and see how it feeds, its suppose to be good ammo.
  21. Gun show here this weekend hoping to stock up on some supplies.

    Anybody..

Nope still using the corn cob but everybody says the wet tumbling is the way to go if you want that new look. Off topic Been reworking my 168 gr A-max load because of random pressure issues going to the range in the morning to finalize it and it looks promising. Have you started setting up your new press yet?

Here you go Wash I fried some up today <thumbsup> Added a couple of my wife's veggie bars. Then I had a tiny bit of batter left and made some crunchies like Long John Silvers.
  25. If I remember right Sellier & Bellot primer pockets seem a little tight but don't remember any other issue. Been awhile since I ran across any. And for the A-merc I just pulled it and scraped the brass. Only one I've come across so far.
