How is the fit between the lower and the upper? When you put a magazine in, does that fit change at all? Sounds like the mag prevents it from going into complete battery. Like Rob says, see if it is an individual magazine issue. And lube it up! What trigger group are you using, by the way?

Doing a brisket myself this weekend for some friends who are coming up to see Delbert McClinton. I am going to try pastrami sometime.

No pics, but I saw some thick sliced pork belly at Costco last week and picked it up, Took it home and brined it in kosher salt and black pepper. Put it on the smoker with maple wood for four hours. Turned out excellent. Bacon you can eat with a knife. Froze it and allowing myself one slice with my egg each morning as part of my high protein diet.

I have a cold steel original Outdoorsman that was machined from a 5 pound single piece of stainless steel. Bought it 30 years ago. It has field dressed 22 deer, and I never need a hatchet to break the sternum cartilage. I sharpen it once every five years or five deer, whichever comes first. The good quality Cold Steel stuff rocks! THeir cheaper lines not so much, in my experience.
