  1. Happy Birthday Man, and congrats on the new .45. Know what you are saying about work. The last five years are a pain.

    FNX45

Update: After reading quite a few forums about owners unable to replicate this with their FNX45's there is some strong evidence that that wobbly grip video was staged with an airsoft replica of an FNX 45, or that the frame was preheated by some method to over 350 degrees. Any polymer frame would become pliable at those temperatures. Of interest is that you never see the individual fire the weapon. Plus, although the header shows a magazine alongside the weapon, in the video there is no sign of a magazine being in the firearm, or even close by. Obviously an airsoft magazine would look quite a bit different from the standard 15 round mag. I chalk this up to a staged video, and a another reason you can't believe everything on the Internet. Abe Lincoln told me that in a recent E-Mail.

Lakes and rivers don't have 45 degree hillsides, and 150 pound quarters you have to pack out on them. Tasty though they are. Hopefully those fires cleared out the mess caused by the pine beetle over the last forty years. With all that dead stuff laying around it was bound to happen I guess.
  4. Not a bad idea, Shepp. I will keep my eyes open.

I got one for sale! Yeah don't eat Smallies, those things have parasites around here.
  6. yep I do hydraulic now when I need to split. This is a semi load, but it is destined for the outside wood boiler, so no need to split it. I already have four and a half cords of oak split for the fireplace. This I just need to cut into fittable logs and haul and stack. That is work enough. Keeps me 67 years young.
  7. Now that the salmon are gone this is next.

Outstanding Mag! One side of the freezer for salmon,,the other for elk.
  9. Speaking of moose, a few are coming back to Wisconsin. This film clip was shot up by Phillips about 50 miles southeast of me, last week. https://www.facebook.com/WIDNR/videos/1039394739458060/
  10. Elkmeat is the food of the gods as far as I am concerned. Good luck to you and your son. And to you Magwa. Hope you all get one. Last night I went up the road to watch the Northern Lights, and way up a couple of F16 from the Duluth ANG base were practicing aerial manuevers in the dark. All of a sudden one of them fires off a couple of IR decoy flares! Bright suckers! Fun to watch.
  11. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Went out yesterday and trolled six miles with only a throw back lake trout to show for it. The salmon are up the rivers making babies. Can't complain, the freezer and smoker are full.
  12. Sorry for your loss, and sorry for the Cherokee Nations loss. My wife has a fair amount of that heritage in her. They are strong people. Thanks for the prose.
  13. ?
  14. Man I gotta get goin! You are way ahead of me Shepp.
  15. Can't say for Harley's but I had a Slickcraft made after AMF purchased the company and that was a bad ass boat. Twin 327's, 45 + mph 28 ft Dual station flybridge. Brought it across Superior in 6 foot waves and never had a problem. As far as I am concerned, AMF stuff rocked.
  16. The Cerebrus group was trying to sell DPMS and couldn't find any takers. Well I could always buy a Remington/Bushmaster/etc. etc. . Wait, no I couldn't.
  17. out trying to find some decent FN-FAL mags.
  18. of course, that is because of the 5,000 more problems with DPMS. Makes sense. All the Armalite owners are at the range using their problem free rifles instead of being on a forum figuring out how to fix them.
  19. If it makes you feel better, RRA would be my next choice.
  20. Big old male from the looks of that Skype. That color change indicates he is ready to run the river and milt some eggs. Nice fish!

    Black-ish

GG saw 1 minute of that. Was enough. Now Archer, Blue, LMFAO!
  22. Here's to Arthur. I Had a friend, Mike, who I lost touch with, was a veteran of the Marines and the D.C. PD as well. I am betting Arthur had as many storys about them both as Mike did. Takes a special kind of man.
