    Grilling

Damn guys! After looking at this page, only one question left: When does the 308 AR Grillin cook book come out?

    It's here!

Seems everyone has "discovered" the FNX 45 as they are getting hard to come by, and stores are adding a substantial "premium" if they have any in stock. Price differential between a Sig Nitron P227 on sale and the FNX 45 is down to $200. As you get night sights with the Sig, and not with the FNX 45, real difference is about $100. Might have to go with the Sig.
  3. Good info, especially if you are using a red dot for a home defence weapon. Chances are, you will use it at night, so don't have the default setting on max.
  4. My home security weapons either have tritium night sights or a night vision neutral reflex sight on them since they will most likely be needed at night. Also I am interested in the survellience experience of others as I have been tasked with setting up a system to prevent and catch vandalism in a local park. And figure I will design my own system at the same time.
  5. I have had good experiences with them. Every once in a while they have really good pricing on M118LR 175 gr BTHP
  6. A well hidden but easily accessible shoulder fired " modern sporting weapon" , whether it is of the riot gun or bullet dispensing variety. I believe it was 98 Z who said " The purpose of a pistol in a fire fight is to fight your way to a rifle". Well said 98.
  7. The wife's grandfather sold the property on the Snake River Canyon rim he jumped off of.
  8. In Texas they would have called him the next door neighbor. In Utah, moderately well prepared.
  9. I always worry about catching a thief in the act, as I hate em so much I would probably get in serious trouble if I did. Don't think I have that much self control.
  10. Well said Robo. As far as Carbs and crabs. The Aitkins diet you give up carbs. The Hefner diet you get crabs.

    Golf

Well played , WNC, well played.
  12. Sounds like I will be driving my old Ram 1500 for a while.
  13. Back in the day when I worked for a living, I had this one boss who when I addressed him, I shortened his surname to "Dick". To this day I don't know why Steve would get so upset about that.
  14. For allthe above reasons I will never join either party.
  15. Old school. I find cleaning a gun after the range or hunting a religious ritual. Prolongs the experience if you will. Passed that on to my son. The other day we cleaned side by side after a day at the range. Good time.
  16. too bad Armalite DC the AR10T carbine, that would have fitted your needs nicely. I will never sell mine.
  17. Envious man, the two things I wish I had learned in life; Welding and Precision Machining. Probably should have, would have quit my white collar job and become a gunsmith, I know I would have enjoyed my job more.
  18. Amen as any one who has worked on a farm can testify.
  19. Carson Holmquist was from Northwest Wisconsin. Uniform should include a sidearm at all times.
  20. MM 55 just to make you feel better about this. " There are people everywhere just waiting to accommodate a well trained and well equipped machinist, and to let him or her ply the tools of their trade."
  21. Well trained machinists are short everywhere.

    Revolver help

Not really my Dad got a S and W Highway Patrol in 1952, I got one in 1977. Still my all time favorite revolver. Mine is 6" not 4" and accurate to 50 yards in the black quite easily. Will never sell it. Will be going to my son. Check out Gun Trader for pricing.
