  1. Google 1972 Indian, with the headstamp info. I think it is Okay. I reloaded my Indian brass once and it is fine. Was that HSM their M118LR imitation?
  2. Take the head-stamp information on it and run a Google Search.you can find out a lot about individual ammo batches. I did this with some 1970’s Indian Army ammo and found that what I had was considered good quality, but that early 1980’s ammo from India had serious issues. Shot it all with no problems.
  3. HSM has had a lot of issues over the years. Some reported on this forum. I have had no trouble with it in the past, but have quit buying it.
  4. I will post the video of that on YouTube.
  5. Funny thing, I have one of those on the way as well.
  6. I assume you sent flowers and chocolates charged to Belt Fed’s card.
  7. I had an extraction problem with my AR10T once. First time I thought it was a bad reload. Happened again with a FGMM 175 gr. I disassembled the rifle and found the rubber O ring on the back end of the extractor arm had split. Replaced it and haven’t had a problem since with any ammo. If you disassemble it, don’t lose that cylindrical spacer in the center of the O ring and spring. They are often backordered at Armalite.
  8. Congratulations! Our 37th was in March.
  9. The AR10T’s tend to be tighter tolerances then a standard 308AR to maximize accuracy. Tighter tolerances=things wear out faster. I looked at mine and it isn’t quite as pronounced, but it is there.
  10. Had problems with Remington, Federal and Winchester 22’s in the past.I stick to CCI or Aquila High Velocity now. Fortunate on my Winchester and Browning 9mm. All bought long before March 25, 2021.
  11. Well played.
  12. Happy Fathers Day to all of you gentlemen. I have the good fortune of having my son visiting and tomorrow we are going to have some range time together.

Bringing mine to the Wisconsin meetup.
  16. I have the standard M1A loaded and really like it. But it is big, heavy and long. I think if I was going compact, I would go with a 16” or less 308 AR. But better still get both.
  17. I stock up on headlamps at the Home Depot seasonal displays at Christmas time. They offer about 6 different styles up to 700 lumens. Cost about $15 each. I buy 3 or 4 of the brightest ones, because a switch will break, a battery will leak, or a case will crack. When I get down to one that is working I stock up the next Holiday Season.
  18. I agree with some of your points. If it means an all out war, I would be reluctant to see us involved, unless they attack our forces. As far as the CCP being a paper tiger. They have jumped ahead of the US in some key areas. AI for one, manueverable anti ship missles for another, They also have the advantage of a short supply line as well as the ability to quickly replace ship losses. Pentagon planners project even a victory would result in WW2 type losses in ships and planes to the US Navy and allies. It would be bloody no mstter who won.
  19. I alluded to no such schit. They won't fuk with the land masses they won't have to. If they control the water access to those countries they make them landlocked colonies dependent on China's good will to keep their own economies afloat. Basic Realpolitik. Why invade when you don't have to.
  20. I never said they were planning to take over those two nations. They do however want to control access into and out of the South China Sea. Which actually has broader worldwide implications then simple conquest. And no one is in a good position to prevent this. Including the US.
  21. Don’t find much I disagree with.
  22. Right now China is pushing into the South China Sea claiming most of it as territorial waters. The Philippines and Vietnam are most impacted. And as of last year, China has the world’s largest navy, and can cover most the South China Sea with their new generation of anti ship missles. Not a good scenario for the US Navy and one causing heartburn at the Pentagon. It has nothing to do with Guerrilla movements the Old PRC sponsored. This is pure military expansion. Is it worth the US getting into a major war over? Biden is making a lot of noise supporting Vietnam, Taiwan, and the Philippines. The question is; Is it our fight or not? Especially one we could suffer major naval losses in? It is compounded by the fact that currently China has three times the ship building capacity the US does, and has been churning out warships at a prodigious rate. They could replace their losses a lot faster then we could. As compared to WW2 with Japan, this time the shoe is on the other foot.We are now playing catchup to the Chinese in anti ship missle technology as well. Our concern with the mideast caused us to take our eye off the ball. Unless China backs down we may have to decide if it is worth a war or not.
  23. I laugh at that too because you can bet Russia spent time and resources getting that film accomplished. I have nothing against Russians or Chinese, but it is pretty clear both Putin and Xi want to displace the U.S as the top dogs in the world. Now putting ego aside, that may be for the best, if it happened, but I kind of doubt it. I think we better figure out what the new world order will be before it comes to a shooting war, because it would be the world’s best three armies going at it, not some radical groups. Think World War 2 type of potential damage. Including the United States. It is time for us to quit being the world’s policeman. The Ukraine needs to learn to live with Russia and the Philippines and Vietnam need to learn to live with China. And Russia, China and the US need to work out an agreement that keeps things relatively stable.
  24. China is the big problem no doubt in more ways than one. We will be at war with them and Russia within 10 years if not sooner. They were planning for it all the while we were distracted in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. When that starts climate changenwill be an afterthought.
