  1. Order the right Luth, probably the MBA 1, and nothing else is necessary.
  2. Add 300 Blk and 30-06, and you named my calibers.
  3. Decided no new firearms especially in new calibers until this ammo situation gets straightened out. Okay with what I have thank goodness.
  4. I am really happy for all of you brothers that can still celebrate Mothers Day with your Moms. Treasure the time. It is way to short. Nice job Tom and Rene and Wolf!
  5. Both are well made. I originally ordered an LAR-8 in 2011. It was an 8 month wait. A month later my LGS got a B model AR 10 in and He let me switch my deposit to that. I am happy with it and probably would have been with the LAR 8 also. With the LAR 8 you have to use FN style magazines. Withthe A model Armalites now you can use the DPMS style magazines from multiple manufacturers, including Magpul.
  6. Exactly. The friend of my Dad had a WW 2 service revolver which they manufactured because there weren’t enough 1911’s. Modern machining and tolerances make a difference.
  7. Thanks Rene. I was always curious about how the Henry evolved into the Winchester repeating rifle. Real interesting.

Tonight a whole chicken on the vertical rotisserie.
  9. Twelve weeks old, 32 pounds. A sweetheart, but wants to gnaw on anything and everything including us. We are working on that and it is getting better. Is getting me up and on a three mile walk at 6:30 every morning. She is really smart and really stubborn, and has a nose like a blood hound and the hearing of a deer. She gets a kick of watching our eagles soar past to their nest down the way.

I find meat quality has really deteriorated. It makes me appreciate my locally raised sides of beef even more.
  11. Right now this little girl is keeping me busy.
  12. Remember that and the concern Saddam would blow it an flood the best farmland in Iraq.Along with a few cities

  14. So any body sign up for any garden tours today?
  15. Phonebooks are all about technique, not raw strength. Most people make the mistake of trying to tear it by pulling one hand towards you and the other away. The way to do it is to quickly bring both hands down to snap the binding, then to pull with both hands right and left directly opposed in direction. The whole process takes two seconds with practice. Was always good for a bar bet and a free drink.
  16. Bet you could dunk at one time too. 6’8” is up there.
  17. YOU’RE THE ONE THEY SHOULD BE PICKING ON! I could in my 30’s just barely if I squeezed hard. But I tore telephone books in half back then too. Those days are gone. Can’t find telephone books for one thing.
  18. It is a tack driver. I got it December 2019, right before the market went crazy, when they were still affordable. When I was sighting in the scope on it today, our local Coast Guard detachment was lighting it up at the range the next lane over. Sounded like some full auto M4’s and 9 mm sub guns along with sidearms. Wish they had invited me over!
  19. Scoped out my Diamondback.
  20. Nice!
  21. I have not used this place, but a fellow member of a shooting club has. Pricey and mostly PMC ammo, which is good stuff. https://bulkmunitions.com
  22. Yeah, somewhere in the archives is a thread about this happening to me with a 5.56.
  23. I may have to put that on a notify me when in stock!
