  1. This thread is gonna cost me some money.
  2. Go back and you should find quite a bit of conversation about this in the Forum’s reloading archives. I will PM you another source as well.
  3. No, but for a Minnesotan, you are decently prepared. Would not pass muster in Texas, Florida, or any of the western states, though. That M118LR is a good round, though. A lot of people think it is an exact clone of a Federal Gold Medal Match 175 SMK BTHP. I found it was about 100 ft/second faster on my chronograph then the FGMM. My shoulder feels the difference when shooting it as well.
  4. Got it PPal tonight
  5. My Dad had a Remington 700 from 1952 I inherited when he died. Ended up trading it in on a brand new Preban Colt AR15 HBAR, because I was a lefty and didn’t have any kids at the time. 8 months later I became a Dad by adoption. As much as I like that HBAR, I wish I had kept that 700 to pass on to my son.
  6. Cut my teeth on 30-06 from the age of 12. Still my deer hunting round and my son's, only in a pair of Savage Bolt Actions.
  7. Sounds good
  8. Dion, if the 44 mag stuff is decent, i will take all 106. PM me what I will owe with shipping and I will Paypal you.
  9. For future reference: Unless they have changed them, the Rock River Arms one piece mount used to be a virtual clone of the Armalite mount, but about $20 cheaper. But that was in 2012. Haven’t checked their website lately though. I have a RRA mount on my AR10 rifle since 2012 and it has worked very well. https://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1742
  10. Welcome from Wisconsin/Florida- wife has a ton of relatives in Post Falls, Twin Falls and Sandpoint. Beautiful Country up there.
  11. WoodforAR.com had some nice looking stuff, but their web address has been bought by someone else so I am pretty sure they are out of business. Should have ordered two years ago
  12. You know, I wanted to get a wood stock for my Armalite AR10 rifle a few years ago think I will revisit it. There was a guy in South Dakota that had reasonable prices. I posted about it but am having no luck finding the post in archives.
  13. There are not that many around, check if it is a Bushnell 2.5 if it is it might be the same rifle. I sold mine with the mount and the scope to a gun dealer, so who knows. I did not keep the serial number as this was in 1987. A number of years ago a guy posted on another forum about finding a Howa manufactured one NIB with 10 20 round magazines for something like $350 at a garage sale. Why don’t I ever find those?
  14. Dang Belt Fed! Looks just like the one I had, right down to the quick release scope mount! That isn’t a Bushnell 2.5 on it, is it? That is what I had on mine.
  15. That double spring set up is right off the original AR180
  16. I had an Original AR 180 made by Sterling. It was an interesting firearm. It borrowed from the AK as well as the M16/AR15. Always regret selling it. The Howa (Japanese) manufactured AR 180's were considered the best, my Sterling was OK but suffered from a wobbly folding butt stock which was endemic to the design. fixed by a shim. very accurate and very reliable.
  17. Sorted brass. Lots and lots of brass

  23. To sum it up, I just tell my son I am spending every last cent I have and you should thank me for it.
