  1. Truth there. Problem is, greed always wins. Doesn’t matter that the Chinese are working to subvert our Country, if they are cheaper, they get the business. I am all for that changing.
  2. The Luth stock is good, but check with them about mixing a rifle gas and buffer system with a carbine length stock. Need to make sure the measurements match. I use the MBA -1 rifle stock with my rifle length gas system on my AR10 T Carbine. Also Heavy buffers are excellent, but if you read some of the older threads, buying your complete buffer assembly from Armalite will save some money and has an outstanding track record. And it will fit in the MBA-1 stock, as that is what I have.
  3. Good luck with the treatment. I hope it takes care of the issue once and for all. I called on an Infectious Disease specialist back in the 1980’s who did a lot of the research proving that hand washing prevented infections more then any other single method. Wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and water. If you can’t use hand sanitizer and let it dry on your hands without wiping off.
  4. They do in the medical journals, but no one listens. Best advice: Wash your hands for 20 seconds once an hour. The only masks useful for viruses are W95’s. I don’t think it was a test. I think it was a monumental fuk up at the Wuhan lab. Remember the movie “12 Monkeys”? Hmmm.....
  5. Why should I waste my breath when you know your going to get it anyway?
  6. I am keeping my 29 for my Florida snake gun loaded with shot-shells, with JHPs for back up in case feral pigs show up.

    This bass thing.

Another one today. Might be the same, guy. Fought like a son of a gun. Red, the second pic is for you speaking of big Pike.
  8. Have a 629 and a late model 29. For whatever reason I like the trigger in the 29 better. Also more comfortable to shoot when you are going through 20-25 rounds. Planning to give the 629 to my son for his birthday next year.
  9. good advice Cliff. Only time I have deviated from that on 45 acp. Was when I had 500 -230 grain hollow points that had to be loaded higher then 850 feet per second to reliably open up. I ended up getting Viht H320 powder. It is a small load of powder, but had the lowest chamber pressure readings for pushing that bullet at 850 feet per second of any powder I found. But I used a Hornady Automatic digital powder meter to charge the case and reweighed every powder charge to be sure I didn’t double charge it. It paid off. They are incredibly accurate in my FNX45 and very clean shooting when I use my suppressor. But yeah, it is nerve wracking to load them.
  10. Chinese researchers have been quoted as the death rate may be as high as 18% in Wuhan. Plus death isn’t necessarily the goal, incapacitation and the strain on society is more important to a military strategist.
  11. More likely the category 4 Wuhan biosciences lab let it escape through poor procedures. And once it got out, you can’t put the genie back in the bottle. There have been warnings of the potential for this to happen for the last 50 years. And 2 % observed mortality is much higher then influenza and is actually pretty high. Influenza A is .01% I researched that when I got it 3 years ago.
  12. If so, China shot themselves in the foot.
  13. Magwa hit the nail on the head. Always test the ammo. On the 22 check and see if you were shooting standard velocity 22’s. Some semi autos now recommend only 22 High Velocity. My GSG’s are 22 High Velocity only. Regular 22’s will not fully retract the slide. Also, there are a lot of crap standard 22’s out there. I have had problems with both Winchester and Federal with misfires. I buy only CCI now, and I still have a few misfires. Had one Tuesday in my Ruger Mk II.

    This bass thing.

That is the key. 4 pound test, they can’t see the line. I have caught 20 pound chinooks on 6 pound fly leaders. Plus the reel isn’t that small that is a sizable fish.

    This bass thing.

Not much of a bass fisherman but I am learning. A little over 6 pounds.
  18. That’s called doing a Nelson Rockefeller. He croaked in the act with his secretary.
  19. Time for the howlin Mad Eye Doc to have an Internet Machete Sale! PRICES ARE CHOPPED!
  20. The Viagra kicked in
  21. Just curious if any one uses these. Started using one six months ago. Haven’t lost any weight, but I am in better aerobic and all around shape. Reminds me when I sluff off and get lazy. Below is a typical heart rate day.
  22. Probably would be a lot easier just to buy an upper with a forward assist and switch the barrel and hardware to it. Then use the old upper as an excuse to start a new build.
  23. Part of the problem is the more stress and repetitive stress put on a rope, they gradually lose their tensile strength. Wonder how often he replaces his ropes? Ropes that strong are not cheap.
  24. Doc, You are indeed lucky. A natural gas line being arc’ed to without exploding. Count your lucky stars. The rest of it sounds like a rube goldberg gone crazy-one thing leading to another. Just glad you and the missus are safe.
  25. When it is published in the Scientist, for other scientists to read, it is a big thing. 1. Beyond a shadow of a doubt it happened, being referenced in multiple publications. 2. Not every thing can be verified like that in this day. I am a sceptic unless there are multiple verifications of something from multiple sources. Groups and people from all sides try to influence us now by publishing false, partially true, or unverified speculative accounts, on both the left and on the right. I refuse to buy into that unless I can ascertain the information is indeed true. I will not take a stance on something unless it’s accuracy can be verified. I can’t afford to believe lies, no matter how much I may want to. https://theconversation.com/humans-are-hardwired-to-dismiss-facts-that-dont-fit-their-worldview-127168?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=bylinefacebookbutton
