  1. I picked up a handmade knife today
  2. welcome from FL
  3. I love that stock on the right. Someone is making them for ARs now, $400+ tho
  4. you'd have to be big boned to reach it through the folds
  5. efile is only for trusts. But no need to submit the question, Nodak manufactured a rifle/pistol/firearm lower, you will be manufacturing the SBR. Otherwise nobody anywhere would ever need SBR engraving as any existing rifle already has a manufacturer
  6. only a 30-45 day wait for a form 1 if you efile
  7. we all agree with that sentiment, but given the reality of the situation we'd all also prefer not to end up in the pokey
  8. only if you aren't there. so long as you are still there, you are considered to have possession even if someone else is shooting it. what becomes really wishy washy then though is if you for instance go to the bathroom while they are shooting. that theoretically becomes illegal I suppose
  9. it is. Nodak sold you a receiver for pistol or rifle use, by assembling it with a shorter barrel + still having a stock, you are "manufacturing" the short barrel rifle. If you bought it from them as a complete rifle, it would be different. Stupid as heck? sure, but it is still the way it is. What makes it even stupider is that the engraving goes on the lower, but its the upper that has the short barrel. How about the fact that on virtually everything except the AR15, it is the upper that is considered the receiver, not the lower..... None of what the ATF does has to make sense, it just is what it is.
  10. damn, that's crazy
  11. on #2 if the kids are 18 they can be on the trust. They are just unable to BUY an NFA item through a dealer, but they are legal to buy one through a personal sale or use them if on a trust. on #3 its generally only constructive possession if you have the uppers but have no pistol lowers or SBR registered lowers. this is incorrect. Nodak manufactured the receiver, however you are manufacturing the SBR, so your info also needs to be added to it.
  12. my wife wouldn't do that. She'd just shoot me
  13. theres a range right near Hanauma Bay on the south east coast of Oahu. It was kind of relaxing sitting in the sun hearing the pop pop pop of not too distant gunfire :)
  14. I'm pretty sure its a 750 too, but not 100%. I should end up getting one in a few weeks, but i'm having mine chopped down to 14.5 and the muzzle brake pinned to take it to 16 :) I hope its a 750 as that's what size gas block i'm sending him to slap on :D
  15. I'm pretty sure its an ex-Sony employee, or one who was still an employee at the time of the hacks who knew he was going to be part of the layoffs. there are certain details in the actual code - hardcoded file paths + passwords, etc that make it lean that way, plus its pretty obvious the intent was to embarrass Sony in the data release. None of the original hackers emails said anything at all about the interview, it was only after the suspicion of it being from NK came up that they mentioned the movie.
  16. I had a bit of traveling for work and then of course getting ready for Christmas. I'm going to have a PSL shipped to you for me as a transfer pretty soon, maybe another 2-3 weeks :)
  17. hmm I may come pick one up from you
  18. I'm a raptor guy, so in line with best, not so much with reasonably priced :D

    Another Fake

I really can't understand why they do it. I get asked all the time if i'm LEO or ex-mil, and i'm very clear very fast that i'm not, as I have too much respect for them.
  20. what some people call long distance is different than what others do :) 600 is reachable out of a 16" with reasonable accuracy. its out to 800+ that becomes iffy with it
  21. welcome from FL
  22. need to know what muzzle brake I should put on it and have pinned for an OAL of 16.25 I have one of these on the 20" barrel http://www.midwayusa.com/product/734627/nordic-components-corvette-compensator-muzzle-brake-5-8-24-thread-ar-10-lr-308-stainless-steel and its nice. Given that i'm not building a new upper, just replacing the barrel, should I just reuse that?
  23. Shadow Ops is in Longmont
  24. welcome from FL and having built one in a 20, given I don't shoot at a 1000 yard range, i'd never use a 20 again. A 16 or a 14.5 with pinned muzzle brake will be my next barrel
