  1. There are many worse addictions :D
  2. its right about 300 rounds, so really just past breaking in
  3. the only downside to my barrel is that its been duracoated FDE. but i'd be interested. shoots sub moa in my setup, and I suck as an operator :D
  4. welcome from FL
  5. welcome from FL
  6. which particular 16" barrel is it on there? I might be interested in trading off a Ranier Select in 20" for it
  7. if you pull the trigger, I might be interested in buying the scope off you :)
  8. hmm I might give this a whirl once brass is available
  9. it is funny, broke as I am there have been things I've seen I wanted to point out to the rest of you, but I can't afford to have the rule invoked :D
  10. very sharp!
  11. it would have been worth that. cheapest you can get them for "normally" is around $130, and so far as anyone can tell they are finally starting to run relatively low on the ones left to import. at which point they'll become $200 rifles at least
  12. one of the metrics the ATF uses is "easily convertible", which of course is entirely subjective
  13. Considering this one has been ready for 70 years so far, yeah :D something very satisfying about holding a rifle of that age. I know some of you guys have ones that are quite a bit older too.
  14. if its incapable of mounting a standard shoulder stock, then its still a pistol. and I wouldn't want to try and use what he has on there as a shoulder stock :D
  15. I don't want to spend any real money on it. maybe a shim kit for accurizing which is around a dollars worth of thin brass plus some time, some trigger mods I can do for free other than a spring, and I can get a $200 scope/mount setup if I go repro. $400 if an original 1944 scope. Given I have no money after buying this, ammo and that LC9S and my daughter is getting married sort of surprise quick married this weekend ($400 for a cake?????) i'll probably just shim it and shoot it with iron sights for a while.
  16. What do you guys think of getting a repro original style scope vs an actual original?
  17. the best was that guy on FB was waiting all of 2 weeks. I definitely the frustration on people that have waited over a month, but to be foaming at the mouth was silly
  18. I do like the idea of period correct. paying that much for a 70 year old fixed magnification scope sucks though :D
  19. here's a pic
  20. its a demilled sniper, got it for $150 in nice shape. i'll take pics soon :) I can't decide whether to leave it as is, basically a plain 91/30 or put it back to being a sniper. Or to even sporterize it, or add a current type scope leaving the stock as is.
  21. so in the end, it was the nut behind the buttstock? :D
  22. The latest statement from the owner is that all back orders will be filled within 60 days, and going forward from there product ships in 5 days or less, or your money back. I know he has approx. 220 308 carriers that will be shipping by the end of this week or next week at the worst, that should take care of all back orders and leave a little bit for new stock. So if you aren't looking to buy for a month, it should be good, you can check back with me once you are ready and i'll give you the inside scoop.
  23. put me on the adoptive child list too :)
  24. what a bunch of jackasses at PSA for that move
  25. welcome from FL
