My chamber in a rainier was tight as well, but as it headspaced fine I just went ahead and ran a few hundred rounds through. had the occasional FTE during the first 150-200 rounds but then after that it was smooth

I'd go with the rainier myself, it seems the best bang for the buck. Next rifle i'm having shadow ops custom make me a 12" barrel with permanently attached silencer to bring it to 16, once they get their 308 silencers good enough to be worthwhile :)

I've heard that moderately frequently on the Core products. I keep meaning to visit their shop, but never have the time.

I've got some parts to finish up putting back together a WWII Suomi KP 44, a fire control group, trunion support and feed ramp. will look like this when its rewelded -
its probably made out of titanium and unobtanium too

geez, what are they thinking allowing high powered rifles like that into this country? Every time I hear something like that, I have to ask what rifle calibers are LESS powerful than 5.56. its a much shorter list than whats more powerful -
