  1. I was raised near a nuclear power plant so that might explain a lot. Robo can put me in his first magazine article to sell that beast as a compact rifle!
  2. I had a fun time with you guys and would like to thank you. You're a great group of people with a lot of knowledge and who know how to have a good time. Oh and the food...damn good job there as well.
  3. Should I bring my new toy or will a shot timer be fairly useless with how things are planned?
  4. Awesome, thanks for the offer. I'll definitely let you know. Should have times locked down this weekend.
  5. I'm a definite now but rely on my wife and her flight benefits to book which happens 24 hours prior for standby. I'm going for the 17th and leaving on the 21st. Times are still up in the air.
  6. Very popular holsters. The only gripe I’ve heard of with certain models is they need loctite but you can say that about a lot of holsters and screws loosening up.
  7. I appreciate the advice and I have heard of them. Seem to be regarded well. I liked N82 in the past with the retention design and comfortable material but there’s a bit too much of it for my liking plus I prefer a combat cut for more grip clearance.
  8. I wanted to give a heads-up to anyone searching for a quality IWB holster. Check out Stealth Gear. I recently bought my second holster from them and couldn't be happier. It's literally the most comfortable IWB I've ever tried. I can't offer any insight into their OWB holster (yet). Over the past year, I've bought two of their more expensive VentCore models and their double and single mag carriers. All are very well made, have a tight fit w/o retention devices, and seat close to the body to avoid printing as much as possible. IMO they put N82 and Crossbreed to shame. Crossbreed has fallen off quite a bit with their quality anyways. I've also had a few G-Code holsters and many other "high-end" holsters and they don't compare. I've had bad customer service experiences with G-Code so they are on my sh*tlist anyways. One catch to SG is they aren't cheap. I'd say they are about $20 or more overpriced but buy once cry once. However, they constantly offer coupon codes that are 15-25% off. By constantly, I mean on a near weekly basis if you sign up for their email. Any other good recommendations people have found for IWB holsters? Good luck.
  9. I feel many are taking this like an XProducts announcement which is a bit overboard but I completely understand the frustration with some of these large companies that appear to be folding to political pressures. However, Daniel does appear to be trying to help improve a broken system.
  10. That's good to hear. I plan on buying one or two this year. They offer great veteran discounts from time-to-time but are always out of stock for the ones I want. They have a nice new matching receiver group that's about to hit the market too.
  11. Pretty good sale on this Faxon barrel at JoeBobOutfitters. https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Faxon-Firearms-16-Medium-Tapered-308-Win-Mid-Len-p/fax-10a810m16nmq.htm?utm_source=JoeBob+Subscribers&utm_campaign=5a0af6c402-03092018_Campaign&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_d85e6c4367-5a0af6c402-287542761&goal=0_d85e6c4367-5a0af6c402-287542761&mc_cid=5a0af6c402&mc_eid=881adec5d6
  12. I'm looking for a Seekins Precision "SP15 stripped forged upper." This is their older model that has now been discontinued. It's a traditional style upper and I'm one for sticking with the same company for builds. The fit and finish tend to be far more consistent this way. Apparently I waited too long for this build. Seekins has moved on and left me behind with newer designs. Thank you
  13. Apparently there are a few other owners and the buyout is underway. How on earth do you even place a value on a sinking ship though? People are irrate about the original statements and major companies already pulled out of selling their products. Seems that they'll have a tough time recovering if it's even possible. I'd start thinking about selling off all those machines right about now. I can't get over bashing your own customer base....moronic!
  14. Skip all the constant bombardment of sale emails and just use the HONEY extension for Google Chrome. You download the extension and it will appear in the top right. As you jump on your preferred website, pick your item(s), check your cart, use HONEY to scan for coupon codes. They will automatically upload and give you the best deal(s). I had my doubts but tried it on a few big sites and it works. It actually works much better vs. doing individual coupon code searches in google but it's not full proof for every site. Good results were found on Rainier Arms which is normally a tough site to get discounts on.

The scope mount has hardly been used (maybe taken out 5 times) and was purchased in 2017. I’m going a different route for an optic mount so that’s the only reason why I want to part with it. Price : The retail price puts this in the approximate $180-190 range. I’ll sell for $160 and that includes S&H. PM for additional information or for an offer.
  16. On the same note that Bubbas was discussing, it is now finger pointing time but all the kids that are saying they knew it would be him is quite disturbing. The BS snitches get stitches phrase does not cover crap like what this psycho was putting out there. There needs to be more attention/accountability brought to disturbing social media posts by students. Apparently, Cruz thoroughly voiced his depravity and yet we have to deal with seeing him carry out such an act. It's always easier to be an "armchair quarterback" but what a sh*tshow.
  17. I feel grossly inadequate since my wife picked this one out last year.
  18. It seems somewhat similar to Experticity (minus the needing to be a LEO or MIL part). I don't recommend that site for most things. Too much S&H and other last minute charges. It's like booking a hotel. I did like seeing the DVOR site with Eberlestocks though. I can't say enough about their quality. Awesome packs. I just bought their range bag recently. Couldn't be happier.
  19. If I can, I do. Seems like all our itemized deductions are about to disappear next tax time. I hope it all averages out...
  20. So all we have to do to get 1 MOA is buy this type of bullet? Hmmmm, I'm going to pass on this one. However, a customer can play mini nerf dart pass in the backyard with it.
  21. Angel, I paid about $1850 for my SAR when it first came to my state. That's with taxes but definitely overpriced. Also, the trigger is HORRIBLE so I had to pay over $350 for the Geissele and separate trigger bow. The trigger changes the rifle...completely. I was going to get rid of it before that. The X95 has now officially replaced the production of the SAR. Now I find both new for $1400 on sale a few times a year and second hand excellent condition ones for about $1200. That's a great deal but hurts to see when I have so much tied up in mine. It could be worse, I could live in Canada or CA where they are usually much more expensive.
  22. Thanks for the input. I've held one for a few and was impressed. They all seem to be fairly nice. I feel your pain. MA is horrible and my in-laws/family are close to you so gun restrictions are well known by many in my family. I would only buy an ACOG on sale or second hand (new model) in excellent condition. The prices vary a lot depending on model but they aren't ever cheap. I've seen a few people over the last couple years that ran into financial trouble let ones go for $500+ off typical retail or sale price a number of times. It's somewhat harder to find a deal like that on a TA11 though. A TA31 is much more popular version.
  23. One thing to add is the hate I hold for Tavor iron sights. They suck but maybe that's just my AR15 bias shining through. A Tavor screams optic. For me, it's basically a paperweight if it doesn't have one. On the flip side of that, I prefer my ARs without....but not for much longer because my aging eyesight is catching up.
  24. I never liked them before the Tavor. It's a big step up from an AUG or some others imo. Robo, I got a chance to hold the Desert Tech at the NRA Convention last year. I was surprised at how cheap it felt while messing around with it. It was underwhelming. That thing has been on the design table for so long so I have my concerns. LWRC, you listening to that part?!? Sorry, still pissed about their consistently delayed "SMG45." IWI has been listening to demand for years but they all of a sudden let everyone know and with a somewhat recent release date. It's already a battle proven platform with some dimension differences to accomodate the caliber. I'm still going to wait a bit for all the goobers to do their torture tests to ensure there's nothing that was missed or rushed to go to production. The Tech does have a nice look for those into bullpups. The specs were impressive when they originally put it out there.
  25. I'm looking for some advice on a TA11 and what opinions and experience with it are. If there is a better ACOG choice through personal experience or something outside of the ACOG line that is similar, feel free to give me an alternative to consider. Thank you. https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TA11-D-100291
