  1. THIS IS AWESOME!!
  2. Good stuff! Not way out of sight on price either for someone who doesn't want to build. I spent close to those numbers to do my build using Aero's upper and lower receivers.
  3. Yeah, but can it make coffee too?
  4. Arizona brother! Welcome!
  5. So my son turns 15 next month and all he wants is an electric guitar for his birthday. It's been almost a year since my business partner and I made the decision to close Dominus Custom Guitars, but, I've still got a lot of the shop equipment and I figured since it's for my son... It's gonna be something special.. ;) I've designed him a guitar based off a Les Paul, but it's got some trick features too. First it's thinner so it won't weigh as much as a typical Les Paul cinder block strapped around his neck. I added a deeper cutaway with a palm relief for extra easy fret access and a nice belly cut so it doesn't jab him in the ribs... <thumbsup> And since I have a left over Strat-style neck laying around it will use that and have the six-on-a-side headstock. Have not decided exatly how I want to finish it quite yet. Thinking of using ash for the body and staining it with a nice tobacco burst around the edges or just painting it white. Either way it's gonna get gold hardware and some Tesla Opus 1 pickups. (Now I just gotta re-teach myself how to generate toolpaths and dust off the old CNC!) Here are a few teaser pics. I'll keep updating as the build goes forth.
  6. Good luck with it bro. Be sure to post up some pics of your progress. WELCOME FROM AZ!
  7. Hahaha. Nice.. Looks like he was having fun with it. Awesomeness!
  8. Thanks brother DNP!!.. When I invoke "The Rule" it will be obvious... Like something along the lines of... "Hey, what do you guys know about the 4-14x44 FFP scope that Primary Arms sells under their own brand name. Will it survive a semi auto .308? Seems promising for a cheap alternative to more expensive glass".... :D
  9. .308/1911 anyone? http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/10/02/pachmayr-dominator-308-1911-pistol/

  11. I think she deserves a spot in this thread.. A+ for being a smart stand-up no BS business owner .... And she's pretty easy on the eyes too!!
  12. Well, she's all together and good to go! Headspace checks just like you said it would. Saturday will be the break in :)
  13. <thumbsup> Get you some Rem Oil in a spray can and coat that bolt the way a woman uses hairspray!
  14. I think her argument is spot on 100% Bravo! <thumbsup>
  15. I hear ya bud... no place id rather be than out on the water.... too bad I live in a desert....
  16. Dude, thats friggin bad!
  17. Welcome from AZ Kirk! I think Im going to upgrade to a hipertouch single stage once funding permits. I like the idea of a 2.5-4.5 tunable single stage with no break report and still maintains a strong hammerfall.
  18. I'd love too, but I'm not 'quite' ready to go with it just yet. I need a good vice block to get it all torqued down and I was waiting for today's payday to order a set of headspace gauges (go, no-go & field) just to double check things for myself. Rainier said they headspaced it, but 1) I'm a control freak, and 2) I have trust issues. Plus I need to get some optics for it. I'm pretty hot for that SWFA 3-15, but for the money, I might gamble on that Primary Arms 4-14 FFP that I've been hearing good things about. You get what you pay for sure, but they offer a 3 year warranty and Primary is GTG so if this gun beats it to death I can send it back while I upgrade and then this scope can go on something else. (Would a 14x44 scope be overdoing it on a 10/22? <laughs>)
  19. Ok, enough of this mythbusters shits... let's get back to what matters here... BIG FAKE TITTIES!!....and guns...
  20. X3!! Damn, if I were just wanting a basic .308 AR.. I'd pop for that sucker and call the dishes done for sure. No way in hell you're gonna beat that price... well, except for PSA's offerings for a complete upper and complete lower combo, but those are having some SERIOUS teething issues from what I've seen from the couple of guys on here that popped for one. 7.9 lbs is pretty damn reasonable on the weight side of things too. No way you can get burned with that setup...
  21. You mean like... when they're getting a midnight snack? <dontknow>
  22. I'm gonna start using the 'scorpion' grip!
  23. Very Nice Sir!! :)
  24. Glad you got it all sorted out man. <thumbsup>
