  1. Corn is for making moonshine. Plain ans simple.
  2. I have that scope on my M1a and I am very happy with it. On my WW 308 I put my 40 year old Leupold 6X that they overhauled for me for free. I put a B-Square riser on the rail to give me charging handle clearance and use a set of Leupold QD rings to be able to strip it down quickly. It holds zero just fine and, well, I like it.
  3. Tyrone None of his classmates liked him because of his stupidity and clumsiness, especially his teacher, who was always yelling at him , "You're driving me mad, Tyrone." One day Tyrone's mom came to school to check on how he was doing. The teacher told his mom honestly, that her son was simply a disaster, getting very low marks, and that she had never had she seen such a stupid boy in her entire teaching career. The mom was shocked at the feedback and withdrew her son from school and moved out of Detroit, relocating to Cleveland. 25 years later, the teacher was diagnosed with an almost incurable cardiac disease. All the doctors strongly advised her to have heart surgery, which only one surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic could perform. Left with no other options, the teacher decided to have the operation, which was successful. When she opened her eyes after the surgery she saw a handsome young doctor smiling down at her. She wanted to thank him, but could not talk. Her face started to turn blue, she raised her hand, trying to tell him something was wrong but quickly died . The doctor was shocked, wondering what went wrong so suddenly. Then he turned around and saw our friend, Tyrone, a janitor in the Clinic, who had unplugged the life-support equipment in order to connect his vacuum cleaner. Don't tell me you thought Tyrone became a heart-surgeon. Well maybe you did...... if you voted for Obama.
  4. I like it.
  5. Out of my price range. I'm a po man now.
  6. My front sight is on the gas block. I would like to keep it there.
  7. So, I wanted to put a tube type handguard on my SRC. Since this stands for Sight Ready CARBINE, I ordered a carbine length tube. Only problem is it is 2-3 inches short. So I have been perusing mid length handguards. There are a thousand for AR-15, and only carbon fiber for 308. And they are higher than giraffe ears. I am looking for a round, knurled 9" handguard, non vented and not rubber covered. Are they even made? Rifle and carbine I can find. But the mid length is hiding from me. DPMS pattern is what I need. Oh, and I have a very good carbine length one if anyone is interested.
  8. I can fly. I'm a pilot.
  9. Good food for thought. I live in a small town and have been here all my life, except while on active duty. Everone knows me and they know if I have my pants on, I am armed. I have a hide picked out. Others may know where it is, but nobody knows it is my primary retreat. At the first sign of trouble, that is where I will take my family. I will have 360 degree observation and there is a spring nearby. With the wild game in the area, food and water will not be a problem. When the poop blows over, we will go home. If it doesn't blow over, it will be assesed then. But I am not worried about foreign invaders. It's the current politicians that worry me.
  10. I don't believe it. Like my pappy used to say, "Don't believe nuthin' you hear and only half of what you see."
  11. But his wife and daughter were 10's. Or maybe 11's.

    Farkle, farkle, little star......
  13. High capacity mags.
  14. I would think a compressed spring it will be longer than the buffer. That in itself would prevent the buffer from hitting the rear of the tube extension. If it were me, I would turn the extension out one turn, if it still catches the plunger. But that's just me.
  15. You can count on that!
  16. Saw one similar to that in The Nam. CIA used it, but it was electrically fired. No visible trigger. The guy used a slide rule to do all the calculations.
  17. What did she say? If she said what I think she said, I can see where his stupidity comes from.
  18. Black Ponies. Worth their weight in dope in RVN.
  19. I love mine. In 308, it's my go to long range rifle. All my bolt guns shoot tighter groups, but for a semi auto, it does the job. It's far from stock so that is why it shoots better. While never designed nor intended to be a super accurate rifle, it is a battle rifle that can be made to shoot better. Glass bedding by someone who knows how to do it on this rifle will tighten the groups considerably. There are also little tweaks to the gas system and trigger that will help a little more. If you can tune it to shoot 1 moa, you got yoursef a shooter. Under 1moa and you got yourself a Camp Perry winner. It can be done, but at a cost. But any rifle can be made to shoot 1/2 inches or better if you have the money or experience. Go for it! They make great hog busters, deer rifles, long range shooters and will make your friends drool when they handle it. At least mine does.
  20. Welcome from next door. Jawja! GO DAWGS!!!
  21. Love those 870's. my pump is an old Winchester 1200. Only paid $100, and was told the safety was messed up. As I figured, took it down and got a double handful of crap out of the trigger group. Works good now. My Remington 1100 Skeet gun got a 10 shot tube as I don't plan to shoot any more clays. It looks totally bad and she is fully loaded with buck and ball shells. Those things are really bad.
  22. Feelings still intact.
  23. My first question when I get to heaven will be, "Mosquitoes? Really?"
  24. Much worse.... take away their iPhone. Or hide the charger.
