  1. Totally agree with you on this Blue!!!
  2. Nice set up, had a chance to get her out to the range yet?
  3. I'll tell ya what Wash, if I lived in an area that had pigs to hunt, and no I don't mean fat chics, I'd be all over it! Love me some BBQ pulled pork!!! I'm serious, my dog gets all jazzed up when I return from a hunt because he knows he's got good eats coming his way. Just fed him some venison heart for dinner today.
  4. I bet most of those get purchased by people that will keep them as safe queens!
  5. Mighty fine looking weapon you put together there Wash! I almost bought one of those 300BLK barrels today but went with another 308 BCG instead. Must...resist...a different caliber build...must...resist...lol
  6. They also have AP 308 BCG for $159! Damn them!!!
  7. And they called the effing Coast Guard about it. WTF!!! Are you kidding me? I think they need a piss test!
  8. Yup, velocity changes a lot of aspects when penetration is concerned.
  9. Way to go DB! She looks great...can't wait to hear how she performs at the range.
  10. Sidetrack here for a second fellas: any feedback on the Ares Armor Effin A Mk 2 muzzle device? I ask because I know Beach is building his wife a rifle & right now they are on sale for $40 each. Worth it or not?
  11. It's things like this that make you really question if almost every one of them has their head safe & sound in their 4th point of contact!
  12. Congratulations JT!!! Glad to hear she's up & running. You're right, sure are a lot of old 308 sages around here that are willing to help out. Makes this site pretty great!
  13. Welcome to the forum from Washington. Congratulations on a well deserved retirement! Now get ready for all the fun & expense associated with the 308 semiautomatic weapon system!!!
  14. ^^^ I thought there were reliability issues when you had a rifle length gas system on a 16" barrel??? Not enough dwell time to cycle properly right? Or can you ameliorate that issue with a different buffer weight?
  15. I think we need to see this video for a comparison. Strictly in the name of market research as a focus group response of course.
  16. That's funny! I was thinking the same thing...lmao
  17. Nathan, I think it is VERY SAFE TO SAY, that we all appreciate your presence here on this and other forums. It says a lot about your company, at least to me it does. I'm certain that I will be purchasing a couple of your barrels in the near future. Thanks again for your presence and input when questions arise!
  18. I still use corn cob & crushed walnut so I can't help ya, but I am interested to see a reply. I do want to move up to the S/S tumbling at some point. So many wants...
  19. No pics displayed for me either and when I click what looks like a link for the pics I get transferred to a page that says "can not find the page.you requested".
  20. Breck, welcome to the forum from Washington. Lots of info in the stickied threads. I do not have experience with your model but I'm sure that someone here does.
  21. That happens when the wife finds out how much it cost and he gets additional duty around the house. I hear that cloth diapers are less expensive but more work.
  22. So I just happened to check back at the site and it seems they have more Pmags in the foliage green color for sale. These are Gen 2 Pmags and with the discount they come to $9.07 each. Just an fyi, and no, I do not work or have any affiliation with magpul. Just trying to help out fellow forum members catch a good deal.
  23. Just got off the phone with Ares Armor and they said the barrels are melonite treated. So yes, they are nitrocarburized; Melonite, Nitride, same same.
  24. Barrel was delivered today and it's marked as 308 1:10. I'll have to wait until Friday to check the headspace because that's when UPS will deliver the gauges from Brownells. I think their website person is just not as accurate as we would like them to be or at least a little confusing in their description on the webpage.
