  1. Guru, yup...totally misread that. Chalk it up to a bit of Makers Mark. I haven't completed my Matrix upper so I'll keep an eye on this post. Thanks for the heads up.
  2. Nice choice, I'm sure that you'll be happy with it. Looking forward to some pics and a range report.
  3. I know this doesn't really address the question posted by OP, but I bought the LPK in conjunction with the Matrix receiver set from Chris so I didn't see any noticeable difference.
  4. Looking forward to the Matrix 308 bolt catch release as well.
  5. Wasn't 2014 pre stainless steel tumbling? Lol...
  6. I ended up going with the Precision Arms EFAB. It did well on the TTAG review, not the best in every category but similar in performance to the KAC Mams for a whole lot less money. When I watched the lux video it did really well and the comp portion it was pretty good too. I haven't shot it yet but I'll give a review when I do. Might be a little while since I'm prepping for a cross country move.
  7. Just got off the phone with Aero Precision and just as I thought, all of their hand guards are DPMS high configuration. *insert loser trombone sound from price is right for Stain* So buddy, looks like you do in fact need to buy a new upper!!!
  8. I'll tell ya what, I'll give them a call tomorrow and get the skinny. I'd like to know for myself just to be sure.
  9. Stain, I'm pretty sure the Aero stuff is all DPMS high rail height. When I was piecing together my M5 build I know I needed that height. I can't say 100% for sure that the Mlok is the same because i haven't used the Mlok version yet, but I would bet that it was just for compatibility purposes among their uppers.
  10. Another welcome to the forum from Washington.

  12. Hey Sisco, where did you find 308 130gr OTM bullets?
  13. That's awesome...I would LOVE to do something like that!!!
  14. Great job Magwa!!! Congratulations on a nice bull!
  15. Very cool Hemi !!!
  16. As funny as it may sound, I'm a member there too even though I do not have a 300 BLK. I'm sure that eventually I'll jump into that pond but haven't committed to it yet.
  17. That's kind of what I was thinking and why I mentioned it. If you reload and want to shoot 300 BLK @ subonic speeds then hard cast lead would be the most cost effective option. So there you have it Sketch...the cheapest option to plink or punch paper with.
  18. I always wondered if you were shooting sub-sonic then are you able to use hard cast lead? Not sure if it would mess up the gas system but if they are really subsonic they shouldn't lead the barrel anyways right? I've never shot anything but FMJ outta my weapons so I really don't know.
  19. I'm of the same opinion. I find it tedious and trivial. My family give me crap about not having a "facepalm book" account but have come to accept my position on it.
  20. Congratulations on the new home!!! I haven't gone down that road yet. Seems I move about every 5 to 7 years so waiting to settle down before I make that commitment.
  21. Just ordered a set of 45/90 FDE safety levers from AXTS. https://www.axtsweapons.com/product/talon-ambidextrous-4590-safety-selector-fde-4-lever/
  22. He's a good looking young bear.
  23. Yup, good stuff...not cheap but we'll worth the price of admission.
  24. That's a pretty neat tip. I was thinking JB weld and an old bolt.
  25. TMI Sketch...TMI...
