I was TDY down at Bliss doing some work/training. Was on night rotation & got woken up by a phone call from my mom who was more than a little worried. Base was locked down tighter than a frogs center of uranus. Was a real PITA for anyone that was off post to get back on...average wait time at the checkpoints was about 1 - 1.5 hours.

This ammo seems to ALWAYS find its way into my cart! For the everyday price, I just don't think there is a commercially available rival right now. I'm really glad Walmart carries it and will continue to pick up a few boxes every time I'm there.

When I checked out the Hodgdon website it lists the standard col @ 2.80 with a min load of 46.6 & max load of 49 when using CFE223. If it were me I'd either save the rounds and mark the boxes with temp data to save for uses on those type days or I'd pull them and start a new ladder to ensure I didn't miss the node. Not to be a jerk but I'd make sure I switched to a non temperature sensitive powder. I have IMR XBR on hand presently. Haven't tried the new Enduron powders yet but I've heard good things about them except they are more expensive. Since I'm not sure where you live & how much of your seasons fall within the created temperature range I'm not sure which would better suit you.

They still use salt in Michigan as well. Doesn't hurt that there are huge salt mines in the state for gathering that natural resource.

Unfortunately, I completely understand the position of the leasing company. I think that people like this get to "familiar" with their weapons & then get sloppy on the safety measures. A negligent discharge is evidence of the lack of awareness of one's weapon.

Welcome to the forum DB. Ammo selection is a process we all have to go through to find out what each barrel likes. Most people tend to agree the Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr is a good choice. Do you reload or will you be buying off the shelf ammo?

Same here. I know you can run most weapons dirty but I just like my weapons clean. I don't do a white glove cleaning which I always felt was BS, just a good cleaning and then lube her up for the next range run.
