  1. I feel your pain. It reminds me of going to our first high school dance and we get dressed up, put on a half gallon of cologne and act like we know what we're doing. Pretty cool we are, new clothes and suave. Our minds are made up. We're going to look cool and not dance, we're not dancing because you can't look debonaire and flop like a wounded frog at the same time. Well at least we are steadfast until Mary Lou shows up and you're heart starts pounding and your mouth doesn't work because your tongue swelled up, adrenaline kicks in and your legs are twitching uncontrollably. Gun pushers has been there and done that. Offers 30k, easy no, 19k easy no, sweet Mary Lou for only 1900 your mouth says yes before the brain gets a chance to think. Dang, it's a science I tell you.
  2. Very ingenious stuff, that burst bushing? worm gear? is genius. Cam wheel.
  3. NICE, good thread.
  4. 5:30 begins explanation.

  6. I noticed a few American Flags flying in my community today and wondered what special day it was. In Florida I learned that today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Updated my memberships and made a donation. I can't wait to run across a local LEO and wish them well. I well remember the first time I was thanked for my service, 70-72' I was in. I looked at the guy sideways waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. You brothers from that era know what I mean. Nothing but smiles and thanks. I look forward to my first encounter today with local PD. I hope it's not for a driving violation BTW. I'm guessing a lot of LEO's have a tough job from the get, and the media for the most part doesn't help out much. Thank you folks in L.E.
  7. IDK what's what but you did me well. Thank you.
  8. I remember using silver money as cash. 1960 I received 25 cents for allowance. I'd buy a 12 DC Comic and a pound of green grapes and have a wonderful afternoon. I just looked up the value of a silver quarter, any old silver quarter and they are selling or being offered at $5.50. I could still pretty much get the grapes today but perhaps not the comic.
  9. I remember silver money, 3 cent chocolate bars and 12 cent comic books.
  10. Very cool story.
  11. Welcome from Fla.
  12. Geissele Charging Handles, yep plural, as in two. It was a good sale on Black Fri, well worth the wait.
  13. Happy New Year !!!
  14. Wilson Combat barrels on sale right now $50-$60 off. Pick one and go. SOAB I had to go look and now I see the 6.5 Grendel on sale as well. Dang they got me again those wallet drainers. You would think we'd have a '' The correct answers for the Mrs. ", " Ways to avoid the Dog House" section. Tim most of the folks mentioned have excellent quality barrels that will 'go' for many thousands of rounds and serve your interests well. An 18" does give you a little more speed, and a 16" has taken beaucoup deer. Best of Luck.
  15. They have some crazy good paint jobs on those receivers
  16. I preferred that one over the warthog
  17. BTW I had that receiver and then gave it as a gift, dang.
  18. WOW, cool news. I'm hearing a lot of good vibes around these 9mm carbines and the associated games. What gun range? Any action on the Internet about it? Locally there is a Palm Beach County range being built, but most folks are sensitive to addressing this particular range due to the sensitivities from a horrible incident that occurred. Best of Luck to you folks. I was looking at the Sig MPX and watching some vids. Expensive initial price and some quick add ons equal $2500 gun. Yours looks like a well built, solid piece of gear.
  19. A wonderful and thoughtful gift. I was just introduced to a 9mm rifle from an online video, it looks like perfect compliment to a 9mm sidearm, or vice versa. The skull receiver is wicked, and is a good gripping stop. I was wondering if you intend to shoot any games or competitions with it? It looks ready for a pistol caliber carbine challenge. PCC. Best of Luck!
  20. sorry, I was trying to understand and hone in on your initial post.
  21. shooting clays???

  24. Ah hah, connections work. Best of the whole season, Merry Christmas. @mrmackc once you got to Cole slaw I was drooling, dang. Corn on the cob, just what the day calls for, Enjoy Sir!
