GreyGoose replied to USMC_0317_SS's topic in For Sale or Trade
Bought 1K to feed the 308 food bank. ;-) USMC_0317_SS is an honorable man, and I enjoyed doing business with him. Highly recommend. -
Mech Armor Defense "TacOps-1" Group Buy
GreyGoose replied to Robocop1051's topic in Sales and Coupons
Received, and like what I see. Close to being able to charge that LMT bolt back here pretty quick, will advise on how all that works in another thread. Hats off to Van and the MechArmor guys, and Robo for making such a quality product available! Thanks. -
I just got my MechArmor Defense CH in the mail today, Van is awesome and it appears to be great piece of kit! Thanks Robo! The rule couldn't be applicable here, so, whats the consensus on the BUIS from MechArmor, pretty reasonable at $69 retail!

That is pretty cool, the guys who qualify for that deserve it! âIdaho says if you are 51yrs+ you qualify as a senior for hunting/fishing purposes.

Being as they are just down the road a piece from us here in Idaho I have ordered plinking ammo from them many times, 9mm, .40, .45, even some .45 long colt to shoot in my .454 Casul, several thousands of 223 both 55 and 62gr, and have 1K rounds of their 308 for my VTR just in case the world takes a $hit. Ha. Its all been eaten without any notable hiccups, and shipping has always been timely. Sucks you got a bum bunch Dale, I will have to run a little of that 308 just to see but I bought it a year or two ago so I'm sure its fine. After the X-Caliber thing I am hesitant to chime in as I am a fan of those guys too and JT had issues with them, but I hope, and I strongly suspect they will make it right. ;-)

Ooohhhhhh yes we are! Going on two hunts, one up the silver valley drainage just near the MT border to some secret spot of a family friends keeping, and if that doesn't convert into a dead bull we are headed up into the Selkirks to seal the deal. Its been bulls only since my 18 yr old son has been elk hunting, and he has yet to make it happen, so please keep your fingers crossed for him!

We fished for Kokanee today up near wolfs lodge, they are getting a little bigger, saw some guys pick off some 14"ers, we managed a few handfuls of 9"-12"ers. Fun day with beautiful weather out on lake CDA with the kiddo's!

LOL, funny, I lived on Calias Dr just on the other side of I-5 on their contact map 46 years ago, I remember looking out over the freeway and seeing that whole area burn for as far as you could see, there was nothing there but grass hillsides, but it stuck in my head. Sorry to digress in your thread, was just a time warp sort of moment! ;-) The thermal units look intriguing, will have to keep an eye on those guys, thanks for sharing.

I was looking very closely at these, I ended up going with the PRS for a 308 build, but by all accounts they are light, very strong, and very versatile in terms of adjustment. They just came out with the carbine version (MBA-3&4) a week or so ago so I will try one of those on an AR-15. Company was started by Randy Luth, as in the Randy Luth who founded DPMS/Panther arms. Seems like a great product and price point for what you get to me!

Fair enough, yes I recall him sending some model legislation to members of congress in late 80's after a school shooting up in Modesto of somewhere in northern California, but I remember him most from when that very model legislation was was used by the Clinton feens in the crime bill. Except wasn't Bill Ruger's recommendation 15 rd mags and they went beyond that and made it 10? Anyway, regardless, ya he was certainly on the wrong side of the tracks. I remember reading something about how he donated a million bucks to the NRA in the end so he bought himself a lifetime achievement award or something to that effect as well. I suspect he would have said something like he was only reading the writing on the wall and was actually trying to save the firearms industry and his company from itself but not attempting to curtail the 2A at all, he would have been dead wrong about how he went about it, but like I said, its too bad he ended up that way.

Ya I would like to build a 6.5 CM or 260 Rem one day, maybe next. ;-) This one I initially thought about the 338 Fed but early into it resolved to just go 308 as an addition to the mainstream domestic armory stock. lol Will be good to have a basic, serviceable, 308 gas gun in the mix. Kind of like a cwp, everyone should have one right. (Maybe not "everyone" but you get the idea.)
