  1. I have been pondering something before I actually do it. I need to remove my F marked A-frame gas block in order to make clearance for my scout style mounted scope now.....and I am having a hard timemaking sure I do this the best way. Long story's short, my A-frame gas block is pinned, and I do have a set screw style gas block on hand, but am worried about getting it "set" correctly with the set screws. I am inclined to think that a pin style gas block would still be a better option. This would be more rugged, less prone to failure, then just getting or finding another pinned front sight block,. another option would be to take a grinder or cutting disc to my current front sight gas block and make it work for me. One final option is to purchase on of those preground type of gas blocks that look like an A-frame ground down. Thoughts or opinions from those who know more and have done it before, please.
  2. I HATE my autocorrect lately...it has a completely different mind.....
  3. Damn good deal on a F'ing solid vanguard for one who is looking!
  4. No one with some laying around?
  5. The solution is go back to honor God in school, discipline the heathens not coodle them, parents go back to taking charge of their kids lives, fathers being fathers not sperm donors. Fire the snowflake teacher and teach real needed subjects in school. Put the church back as center of home not sports, tv, video games, most of all bring discipline back into the homes. ****************** The above is from a poster on the castboolits site, and I have the exact same ideas for the long term solution as far as the person goes. The physical structure still needs to be hardened and protected by security measures. Put them together and only then will we get back to where we were many years ago.....
  6. There is alot of truths in that video. Germ kernels of the needed beginnings of what should be done, but the correct persons need to direct the action of hardening our schools, not persons who are not for protecting the innocent but looking for a "sensible and fuzzy feeling of love will get us together" when fuktards want to kill kids and people.
  7. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/02/16/florida-teacher-years-gun-violence-post-goes-viral-after-school-shooting.html And here is a MAJOR part of the fix for what needed to be done in the first place. None of us grew up wondering if we were going to be shot in school, nor go to school and kill everyone, but this teacher NAILED IT as far as the "home"part of the equation in this debate!
  8. Not a fix for anything with this topic, but.... I was getting ready I was getting ready for work this morning, along with my son being at home getting ready to go to his job, and I looked at him and in my exact words " what the f*** is wrong with you, and what the f*** is wrong with your brother? You guys grew up with guns, loaded guns, in the house, around the house, and never killed anyone." He looked at me worried when the first part came out, and then got that big sheeiiiit eating grin on his face when I finished my comment. Then he just shook his head when the statement sunk in..... He is 20, his brother 21...... I cannot speak for how messed up other family situations are/might be, but they didn't grow up with a silver spoon in their mouth, and have been taught right from wrong the whole way. They knew exactly what my fun tools were capable of, and we're not taught to be afraid of them, knew that the crap on TV and video games WASN'T reality, and that once something was dead there was no restart.
  9. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/02/15/grandmother-thwarted-washington-school-shooting-by-looking-at-students-journal-cops-say.html Here is one that worked. Hard part is not screaming about the media "not getting it" when they keep glamorizing this kind of crap by wall to wall coverage of it....
  10. Agreed. We protect our possessions better than our children
  11. Still would be a great range toy for a shottie!!! And I wouldn't mind a Shockwave either, Robo.....those look fun.
  12. The next morning reports (even the reports coming on Hannity's radio program that afternoon) are saying that the kids all knew he was going to be the one doing this....where are the person's who are supposed to watch for this kind of thing? This freak was way too deep into wanting to play with guns and knives, when he should not even have been allowed access to that kind of stuff. All one has to do is look at his mental history, just like all the other retards that do this school shooting kind of thing, and we would be able to tell you that this was going to happen. Kind of curious how he was able to get an AR-15 and a whole bunch of magazines into the school. I'm not suggesting tinfoil hat stuff here. Just a complete lack of preparation, or hardening, of the school to mitigate this kind of incident. There were reports yesterday on Hannity's radio show that the school wasn't quite up to par when it comes to Readiness like this. Fox News reported that he ran out with the kids afterwards, I'll bet you any money the kids he was running with knew exactly who he was and what had just happened, but they are not in the mindset to deal with this at that moment. This was partly probably the reason why he was apprehended so quickly afterwards.
  13. I bet they suffer from the same fate as 12 gauge AK mags.....hull distortion from spring pressure on leading rounds after setting too long. A shottie still is best from a tube, unless brass is used instead of plastic for loaded rounds.
  14. Always nice to see someone get a new friend for the family. I have put down 2 within as many months in my household. First was a chihuahua, and the second one of our boxers...both old and getting sicker. Good looking pup, 98!
  15. 98, my APF handguard is solid, no complaints. I have dropped the rifle, with no shifting of zero from either front sight or scout mounted scope. A bump for Concretus. As an aside, APF and Alex Pro Fab are 2 completely different companies in the same town that don't really get along. Alex Pro Fab took some parts that weren't meeting APF specs and started selling them under the APF logo, with the parts causing no end of warranty headaches for APF. THIS HAND GUARD LOOKS IDENTICAL TO MINE, which is true APF. No worries on authenticity as far as I can see.
  16. Thumbs up, 98!!!!! that's one of the best things I've been waiting to hear. I really like the grip profile on a vp9, and it's just might make my kid real happy cuz he really wanted a vp9 also and I will push my SAR 's all day long
  17. I know my Turks aren't made by your Turks, but I have zero complaints from my Sarsilmaz pistols. My B6P and the B6 compact are very good to go, as long as either factory or Mecgar mags are used. Italian mags need not apply with mucho spring modifications. I have been eyeing the SAR9 since the release announcement, but resist placing another kind of magazine into my personal inventory.
  18. Hey guys, I am looking for thread protectors in both 1/2x28 for AR15 and 5/8x24 for my 308AR. Used is more than fine, only preference is black instead of stainless. If you happen to have both laying around, let me know what you want for them. Thanks, Lance Deus Vult!
  19. Awesome.......not. This kind of hacking scum should be on the range, chasing ricochets....
  20. You know why they don't teach sex-edd and drivers-edd on the same days in their schools..... it's too hard on the camels http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2018/01/23/twelve-camels-disqualified-from-saudi-beauty-competition-for-using-botox/ Not really a pic, but imagination is better than reality in this case.
  21. Would the milliseconds of the piston resistance be something that is helping with the additional gas (residual) pressures? This is totally uneducated, but common sensical, thought....which is more than likely wrong. But I just had to throw it in.
  22. Merry Christmas to you guys! May your day be bright and quiet!
  23. And I believe there is a drum manufacturer who makes 12 gauge drums, and they are able to load the spring pressure as needed before use. A lot along the lines of the old AK47 drums that could be tensioned as needed after loading.
  24. On a serious note, the main problem that box magazine fed shotguns suffer from is deformation of the first round due to pressure from the spring on the feedlips/bottom of bolt if kept in weapon. The longer they are kept in mag, the more deformed the rounds become. After a certain amount of time, the feeding of the deformed rounds is impossible. The time depends upon spring pressure and such. If I recall the discussions on this, even the second round becomes flattened given enough time.
  25. Remington just caught up with the AK style shotties that have been available for a few years already. Nothing too new here, move along. And these aren't the droids you are looking for.
