  1. dtom, the guys here will steer you in the correct direction. You have already seen that. Now as far as selling the DPMS at a loss just to reinvest in another product from that conglomerate (sister corporations) is making my spidey sense tingle. Look at it this way, how kuch money do you think you will lose by selling the 308AR at a loss, purchase a new ar15, and then start aquiring new mags and such; as opposed to just (worse case senario) having to purchase a few Lancer mags at higher price than Magpul? Just figure out the dollar amount lost in selling, the dollar amount (difference in Lancer vs. Magpul) spent on the same number of magazines you were thinking of (and you might not even need to buy the Lancer's....) and how much you will need to get into whatever ar15 model you want. I just like playing devils' advocate when I am not the one wanting to jump out of a rifle and into another...
  2. Hunting deer with my 45/70 vs. any of the other calibers I have hunted with resembles the remarks about them going down first and staying there, versus getting hit and running off for a bit....
  3. There was a "gun gripes" video put out by Iraqveteran1888's youtube channel about this very subject, explaining it as much as can be in layman's terms. He even linked to the above-mentioned gun collective video for further assistance in figuring this one out.....
  4. I need to figure out how to adjust my settings, I am getting a lot of blocked links from the 308AR site in the last few days....
  5. NO SCHIT!!!!!
  6. I am looking for a complete buttstock kit for a build (tube, buffer, stock, all parts for installation) if anyone has one setting around in their parts shelves. A2 fixed or a Magpul MOE rifle stock is what I am interested in. Conditon is not overly important, I want it usable, but not abused/broken....I want to do that stuff myself! Also, if you have a Magpul MOE grip, I would be interested in getting one of these also. Contact me through PM here if you have something you want to get rid of. Thanks. *edited to finish post*
  7. Makes alot of sense. And I think that he left out many of the barrel treatments for brevity in the article, not to mention clarity for readers.
  8. And, wow.....it only took them 240 years to figure out that something was racist.....
  9. Funny, but doesn't take much brains to figure out he is too busy screwing around to watch traffic so one of those (persons of color as he so states it) doesn't accidentally hit him, causing an accident.
  10. I am with you on this, I learned way more that any foul committed. Derailment happens all the time....
  11. I truly didn't believe that they were destroying all the info they had anyway. Somewhere there is (at the VERY least) a copy of every purchase made for many previous decades. Don't kid yourself, the nazi's had this figured out before WWII, and do think the libtards behind it all would not take notes on how to compile firearms purchase records, ammunition purchase records, parts/places that sell parts---and where/who these parts went to? Anyy good pencil pusher would be able to figure out how to follow the money trail for purchases, and it is much easier with electronic funds/records; but don't forget cash/check purchases still leave a mark in the books somehow-shipping addresses, deposits into some account, ect. The only thing that they probably can't put together is a face to face type of purchase, and then the buyer is going to be paying much higher than normal prices for any kinds of materials bought. Even buying through the mail can be tracked if they want to keep an eye in you.
  12. My first thought upon seeing it was "can it keep out the Alien?" I bet that libtard Sigourney Weaver could drive it also!
  13. Thanks for the information! I am new (returning after many years) to the AR party and am interested in getting this kind of info.
  14. A friend that I used to load for had me put 4064 into almost everything he brought over for calibers. There were some 223, 308, 30/06, 300 Win Mag, and a couple that I don't remeber. His instructions were: just make them hot. Well, .75 of top of book was as much as he received and he was exceedingly happy. That was my first experience with 4064.
  15. ...and all along I throught that Armalite took a different pattern of magazine than the DPMS compatible ( how I hear most people say it)....guess I learnt something new today. That difference must be in the later Armalite magazine compatibility vs the SR-25 (older series).....correct?
  16. Full and correct description.
  17. Yup, I was going for lowest common denominator in my description......knew that correction was coming from someone who knew exactly what series model numbers were needed for a full description.
  18. Unless I am wrong, there are only 3 magazine camps in tye 308AR world. Armalite style, DPMS style (P-mag), and the FAL takers......
  19. Good thing that I don't rely on my memory for too much....... I was working at the time I was on the phone with them, and all that I can remember was that is was one of the "good ones" as far as I remembered.....and Krieger seemed to "stick" better in the muck inside my head better than any other names.......
  20. Sold pending funds.
  21. That was prettty good, actually.
  22. $100 shipped. And trades still welcome for all or part of a deal.
  23. I have one of Slash's Heavy rifle buffers (and his spring) for sale. For the DPMS compatible 308AR rifle. Used for 60 rounds, and the rifle and buffer didn't like each other......my loss, your gain. Buffer, spring, sticker, price card, and orginal baggie, all as shipped from Slash. $120 shipped to your address via USPS flat rate box. New value shipped is $150 from Slash. Very well made, just did not work in my gun. May take trades of AR15 mags, AR308 (DPMS compatible 308) mags, or detachable iron sights. Let me know what you have, and we can come to some agreement.
  24. I saw nothing wrong in the handling of this situation with that petulant child. He asked questions, didn’t like the response, and proved his intelligence level afterwards.
  25. That was quite enjoyable!
