  1. How long is the barrel on that?
  2. Can you do this with an 870?
  3. Lol. Would be nice. Been a long time since i shot 600
  4. Very nice brother. We shooting it this spring/summer up here?
  5. Lol. Been bussy since the new year. The best thing about this place is no matter how quickly we go off on tangents, someone gets the information out there that is needed.
  6. Me? I would never! 😋
  7. Haha just hear to help. I blame all the sh1t talking and brotherly love on the beer.
  8. Fair enough, where is the best place to get it though?
  9. Wow Tom, only putting in 2 cents? Usually it is a wealth of knowledge and we cant get you to shut up.
  10. Honestly, i have hunted in -30 degree weather with basically any type of barrel you can think of. The biggest difference i have noticed is stainless is easier to maintain. Also better accuracy, although my stainless barrels are of a higher quality so i cant say that is comparable. And these days it seems like most barrels are shooting sub 2 moa easily
  11. Must be a stressful relationship. Lol
  12. Absolutely have it headspaced. I have a .308ar chambered in 260 rem that is sitting because the headspace is off and i need to send the barrel back in. If i didnt check the headspacing before i shot it, i dont want to even know the problems it would have caused. And if you are getting a bcg machined, i dont see why they cant check the headspaciing for you also.
  13. I think a 16 in barrel would do just fine, certainly wouldnt need anything longer than 18 incher. Also probably light to medium contour to try and keep the weight down. Did your questions about barrel materials get answered by the link?
  14. Did you burn it?
  15. Reminds me of some mp5 stocks, except on an AR platform. Makes me What brand and model is that one?
  16. For length and contour, that depends on uses and range ypu plan on shooting it at, as well as personal preference. So what do you plan using it for more specifically than just hunting? Here is a link that will help explain things a little better with stainless vs crome moly. It is a start on learning the different metals. https://ballisticadvantage.com/blog/what-type-of-barrel-should-i-choose
  17. Faxon, criterion, or ballistic advantage. Cant go wrong with those 3 and good prices.
  18. I love that pistol brace, those things are pricey though!
  19. Perfect for putting on a Trump 2020 patch 😉
  20. So every year i do a secret santa with the sheriff department i work with daily; this is what i got.
  21. My Firefield 2.5-10x40 had taken 3 deer the last two years on my .300 blk. It has red and green illumination. I think i paid $50.
  22. Merry Christmas brothers! Stay safe on your travels, this time of year is full of crazies.
  23. You guys make me feel like i am back in the military... especially sick call mondays. Lol
  24. So i first saw Olights advertised on demo ranch. The more i saw them there and other places, the more they peaked my interest. Then they had an amazing deal on the M2R Warrior Pro with everything below shipped for $85. I put the holster on my duty belt and i have been carrying it the last couple of nights. The thing has like 8 different modes but is easy to use and i dont find myself fumbling through them. The tail switch always goes to the brightest mode which is nice when you need it quickly. But the lower levels are nice for many other uses because frankly, the thing is so darn bright, you dont want to be blinding people unless you need that tactical advantage. It has a very nice cone of light that is very consitent through the width of the beam and is brighter than my much larger and heavier streamlight stinger hpl. The stinger claims to have a better distance of throw... but that is debateable even. The size is perfect for a backup, belt mounted light. It is light and unlike other flashlights, i dont see myself getting tired holding it for long periods of time up high. It fits very nicely in the hand with plenty of grip. The construction feels very solid and i wouldnt worry about dropping it at all. The charger is sweet! It easily finds its home with the strong magnet which is much better than the few flashlights that are out that charge and either got to sit correctly on the charger or plug in (which over time the plugs get damaged). The usb pluggin is nice so you can plug it in to many cars, computers, wall outlets, and phone chargers. The included belt/pocket clip is metal and sturdy. But i took it off because i wont be carrying it that way. The pressure switch and mounting system is just as good as any i have seen from surefire or any other brand. It easily mounts to a rail and the magnet end attaches to the flashlight in the same way as the charger. The switch always goes to the flashlight's highest setting just like the tail switch, which is fine when it is mounted tactically on the rifle. My only negative i have found so far is the rifle mount feels like a crappy plastic and i had to take the end cap off to get the light in it. Still it works, at least until it doesnt, and being an add on with the deal, i am not going to complain. I would not purchase the mount by itself as their our better ones out there. i think my next light from them will be a Warrior X
