  1. Glad it's working now.
  2. You have an adjustable gas block. The port can be bigger and you can adjust it down w/the gas block.
  3. Finding the red dot on a pistol is all about your draw stroke and doing it the same every time. I shot a USPSA open gun for a year or two and it does take practice finding the dot. Once you get it it just works. As I am pushing the gun forward the muzzle is high. As I bring it down I first see the front sight. I know the dot is above the front sight and as I keep bringing the muzzle down the dot appears. That's what works for me.
  4. The first time I saw them was in 1976. This was the 9th time. In 76 with Blue Oyster Cult. 2 1/2 hour drive each way. Got back to Ft Devens only to get about 3 hours sleep before a PT test.
  5. This is what I did this evening. Pretty good show. The new bass player is ok but he ain't Dusty.
  6. These guns are not like the small frame guns. Don't worry about where it throws the empties. As long as it runs and locks back on an empty magazine it's all good.
  7. Hmmm must of been someone else doing all that work on the house yall built then. You didn't mess that up.
  8. Got an EAA 1911A1 in 9mm on the way. Also enough Wilson Combat parts to change out the grip safety and install a commander hammer. Spare mags of course. https://issuu.com/eaacorp/docs/girsan_mc_1911
  9. I wouldn't worry about the buffer. A little more gas and enough rounds to seal up everything should get it going. If you are really worried about the recoil spring being to strong. Lock the bolt back and let it sit that way a few days. It will take a little of the spring tension out.
  10. He does seem to be a fan of the "shortened" AR10 clone guns. Should we ask him to review Palmetto's large frame guns????
  11. I can't find it on their site anywhere.
  12. Now that is FUNNY.
  13. Same wx here now. But was 82Tuesday.
  14. On second thought. Take the buffer and spring out. Drop a quarter in the bottom of the tube. If the BCG will lock back on the bolt catch and there is still room put another quarter in. See if you can solve the problem for 25 or 50 cents.
  15. I would install a different buffer tube. They are not much $. I'm thinking it is tweaked a bit.
  16. From your pics the gas block doesn't have enough carbon to seal yet. The pic of your gouged buffer isn't showing up. It shows a broken link on my end. These guns take some breaking in to get everything working. Your probably looking at 100-200 rounds. Maybe less maybe more.
  17. I have 2 . One on a Grendel and one on a 308. So far so good. I will keep an eye on them.
  18. I'd bet the flat wire spring is to long and your buffer won't go in the buffer tube far enough. I may be wrong but I don't think so.
  19. A 308 rifle buffer is 5.2" Not 5.5". that is your problem.
  20. You only need to list your problem one place. How long is your buffer? Pictures of what you are working with would help. Real hard to help you without seeing what you have to deal with.
  21. Seems like a decent way to paint a gun.
  22. We had thunder storms and hi winds this afternoon. Now just light rain.
  23. Glad it likes the new ammo better. Cans don't usually make groups worse.
  24. Fix the recoil system first. If you can find the Armalite AR10 carbine gas tube somewhere it should be the proper length you need. The gun should run with the one you have now but it will work better w/the proper length gas tube.
