New gun. Soak the BCG in mobile one overnight. What size is the gas port? My Wilson Creedmoor barrel had to have the gas port opened a bit for the gun to run right.

My friend from work brought his new Stag 308 out to the farm. With about 50 rounds through it l had it shooting under 1 moa w/M118 175 gr.

My 16" does good farther than that. My 6.5 Creedmoor is 16" too and I know it does 850 yds.

Also since you don't have a bunch of rounds through it soak the BCG overnight in mobile one. If the bolt is real stiff going in and out of the BCG lube should help.

I use Varget and BL-C(2). That lets me load 5.56 & 308 with both powders.

I just clamp a scope mount across the upper and rail till I get the rail tight.

So that ammo will run in ANY gun he uses it in. Not all chambers are the same size.

The gas port is the hole in the barrel under the gas block. Get a set of numbered drill bits. You can determine the gas port size with them and if it needs opened up you already have the bits. Just because the barrel maker say the gas port is such and such doesn't mean it's true all the time. If the drill bit making the hole is on its 1000th barrel and needs changing the port may be to small.

Primary Arms or Athlon are where I usually head to when looking for a scope.

I don't have anything but Magpul in 308/6.5 Creedmoor. Wolff makes good gun springs. I didn't read the description.

That's right CDNN had those and they were saying they were Remington. Remington did buy DPMS so who really knows who made those.
