So if there is no gas port in the barrel you have a single shot. You can cycle the rifle manually but it won't cycle itself. There has to be gas going back to the BCG to operate the action.

So there is no gas port at all or you haven't measured it?

If this is a new build is the Bolt dripping with lube?

Like the waterboard thread. List everything. Give us an idea what we are dealing with. Barrel manufacturer and gas port and length would be a good start.

A muzzle brake will do more for recoil than a fancy buffer that doesn't work well on these large frame guns.

To shoot distance a 34mm tube gives you more adjustment than a 30mm.

If those are going in a semiautomatic rifle you should probably use the Lee factory crimp die too. If the bullets set back in the case the pressures go through the roof.

If it ran ok with the factory trigger and it doesn't now it's the trigger. Try pulling the bolt back and releasing it while you hold the trigger back at the same time. This will check and see if the disconnector is working properly.

I shoot 24.5 gr of Varget w/69gr sierra hpb match bullets. Nice accurate load. Also have a friend that shoots the same bullet @ 25 gr.

Slow down. Just change 1 thing at a time. You ordered a longer gas tube. Good. Your buffer even with tungsten will not be heavy enough unless the body is made of stainless steel. Armalite sells the entire carbine recoil system for about $75.00. This works. The recoil system also has to deal with the mass of the BCG going rearward not just feeding the next round.

Do you have pics of what you are talking about? Not really understanding what you are trying to describe.
