  1. So that ammo will run in ANY gun he uses it in. Not all chambers are the same size.
  2. Very cool.
  3. The gas port is the hole in the barrel under the gas block. Get a set of numbered drill bits. You can determine the gas port size with them and if it needs opened up you already have the bits. Just because the barrel maker say the gas port is such and such doesn't mean it's true all the time. If the drill bit making the hole is on its 1000th barrel and needs changing the port may be to small.
  4. Primary Arms or Athlon are where I usually head to when looking for a scope.
  5. Welcome from KY.

  7. I don't have anything but Magpul in 308/6.5 Creedmoor. Wolff makes good gun springs. I didn't read the description.
  8. That's right CDNN had those and they were saying they were Remington. Remington did buy DPMS so who really knows who made those.

  10. Sure looks like the DPMS slick side target upper. Someone has put a 16" barrel on. I am pretty sure no one makes a rail that is the same height as that upper. Most of those guns came w/a round aluminum free float tube.
  11. I have a bullpup. I didn't like the way a fullsize handled. I have several 10 rounders I just put in my hip pocket.
  12. Without a stainless buffer body you will still be a little light. You also have no idea whose " milspec 308" spring you are using. Large frame guns are not milspec anything. They are a whole different animal. Your bolt carrier group is longer and heavier. You need the proper spring and weight buffer to handle the extra mass.
  13. Hmmm brought a knife to a gunfight. Sucks to be him.
  14. That buffer is to light. Your buffer needs to be in the five and a half ounce range. This buffer, spring, and tube is what the guy that designed the original AR10's came up with. It works. https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=AR10REKIT01&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/AR10-Parts-Accessories&Category=4eeff98b-d9a6-40fd-be6b-ab2e44ec1080
  15. Is this a new gun? Is the Bolt carrier group dripping w/oil? How many rounds through the gun? Please do a search for the "waterboarding thread" and answer those questions. Hard to fix something over the internet without a lot of exact details.
  16. The Sig 365 has the nicest trigger for a striker fired gun I've ever shot.
  17. Welcome from KY.
  18. A 5.56 AR pistol is LOUD. More so than a 308 rifle. Both fired indoors w/o hearing protection hurts. Handguns indoors are hard on the ears also.
  19. Those are nice. I shot my friends. I like it but not enough to buy one.
  20. Lee factory crimp dies won't mess up the headspace and the bullets stay put till they are fired.
  21. That is not a g II. Standard DPMS pattern. Aero doesn't make G II lowers.
  22. I switched to a Sig365 as my all the time gun in front pants pocket pistol. After I shot one and found it just works for me. I still like my Kimber mocro 9 and before that my Diamond Back DB9. The Sig 365 just fits my hand better and has 10+1 rounds on board w/the standard magazine. There is also 12 round magazines but that makes the grip to long to carry in the pocket.
  23. Go to an indoor range that rents guns and have her try several. If it doesn't fit her hands and point well she won't be able to hit much with it. Light handguns are great to pack around but recoil is greater than full size that weigh more.
