  1. It's all about reciprocating mass. The buffer and spring have to balance out the BCG and the gas driving it rearward. Not enough of any one thing and the gun doesn't run. Too much of any one thing and the gun doesn't run.
  2. Welcome from KY.
  3. Do not email. CALL them. A phone call will probably get you the parts. This is from our experience w/Armalite.
  4. I only recall one person ever getting that scs system to work. Maybe two people. Just doesn't seem to work well with the large frame guns.
  5. If the website says out of stock call them. They can usually hook you up.
  6. If you would go back to the second post in this thread. I posted a link to a recoil system that works.
  7. Welcome from KY.
  8. The Tupperware container for Velveeta cheese would be perfect.
  9. Glad you got it figured out.
  10. Hmmm. Probably thinks you already know all that stuff. It was pretty general about what y'all do/did. Nothing real specific.
  11. Not many folks(if any) have got that scs stuff to work with the large frame guns. This recoil system works. https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=AR10REKIT01&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/AR10-Parts-Accessories&Category=4eeff98b-d9a6-40fd-be6b-ab2e44ec1080
  12. Worked for me. https://brunetteonamission.com/the-incredible-combat-abilities-of-the-united-states-armys-green-berets/
  13. Corner braces for the trebuchet????
  14. Glad it's working well.
  15. Try shutting down the gas a little. You might be running to fast to pick up the next round. Is the BCG well lubed? Like dripping wet?
  16. I would suggest getting it running w/o the can first .
  17. I have a 16" barrel Creedmoor that has hit steel @850yds.( Verry windy day) I can regularly hit steel at 450 yds. 250-300 yds is a chip shot for that gun. There is commercial ammo that that gun likes and others it doesn't shoot near as well. For a hunting gun your not going to miss the extra 2" of weight or the slight decrease in muzzle velocity.
  18. The bottom of an old antifreeze jug works well too.
  19. Those look good.
  20. The extension has O rings that grip the inside of the BCG.
  21. The folders work great. I have used them on small frame and large frame. The only problem seems to come from some of the pistol caliber guns as there is a weight in the BCG where the extension goes.
  22. I like Gerber knives and have a few. Picked up two from Swisstech. D2 steel sharpened up real well. I'll get a kydex shieth made for the bigger one.
