Always mount the scope mount on the receiver. Don't bridge onto the rail. Push the mount forward before tightening mounting bolts. That way it can't work forward under recoil. Your fore end was probably flexing under recoil and that is what caused the shiny spot.

My PSA 20" had a "midlength' gas tube. The correct Armalite part is a carbine length gas tube to replace the PSA "midlength'" gas tube. Not sure which one you need but unless they changed something you probably ordered one too long.

Loctite comes loose under heat. Rockset works better for gas blocks.

The more freeloaders the more competition for the resources not less. Hungry people will do whatever it takes to eat.

If you heat the receiver and freeze the barrel it should slide right in.

BCG should be dripping wet w/lube. Get some brass cased ammo. Steel is not your friend. Open gas block all the way open then close down a bit at a time till it doesn't lock back on an empty mag then open back up just a bit. Pictures would help.

Welcome. Mixing PSA and BCA is probably not a good idea. I have 2 PSA guns and the uppers only fit the PSA lowers. The BCA upper I have fits both DPMS and Bushmaster Lowers. My best guess is the BCG isnt quite in line w/the receiver extension. As well as spring and buffer length problems.
