I bought one of these. Rural king had it on sale for $359.00

It works well. Runs low brass and hi brass just fine. Was busting clay birds with it a few weekends ago.
Armalite uses a different thread pitch on the barrel nut along w/the slant receiver cut. Some use the DPMS thread for the barrel nut but have the slant receiver cut. I believe Diamond Back is that way. Palmetto does their own thing but uses the DPMS threading on the upper.
Not bad on the wrist but then again I also shoot a 454. Ordered a commander hammer and beaver tail grip safety from Wilson Combat. I remember now why I sold my Hipower years ago. Hammer bite sucks.
Bought a Rock Island 1911A1 in 10mm. I was surprised that it had a full length guide rod and bushingless bull barrel. It seems to function and shoot well but then again all I could find to shoot out of it locally was Hornady critical duty defense ammo. So for 20 rounds it is good so far . I haven't shot an A1 in a while and forgot about hammer bite.
For $409 I can't bitch.
Just built a 16" 223 Wylde bear Creek had the barrel on sale and I didn't have one of those chambered rifles. Now I'm out of railed fore ends. Time to order more parts. Still have plenty of parts to build 5.56 guns just no railed fore ends. 80% 308 lower is on its way. Got to do something with this 6.5 creedmoor barrel laying here.
