  1. LOL @washguy Good grief...
  2. If I have to kidnap your sorry ass to make this happen, you know I will. As your vision goes foggy the last thing you'll remember is Tom stepping out of the fridge and asking you, "Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?"
  3. Don't threaten me with a good time, I get a hard on for the pink hot stuff.
  4. Come on blue, you gotta join the mayhem...
  5. We are, it's looking like it'll happen in the neighborhood of the 28th or so for me.
  6. A heavier buffer would also be a good option in the event that it's cycling too quickly.
  7. I agree with you on that too, but the assumptions that the manual made were probably made with trained armorers in mind, folks who had an understanding of how to calculate the total torque and such.
  8. No the manuals aren't incorrect, you have to understand the offset of your wrench, the offset isn't standardized to my knowledge. See the above post for the math.
  9. Taking your example, if the offset is 4", your torque is refactored by 1.33 (4" = ~.33ft) so for instance the 30 ft-lb setting would refactor to 30 x 1.33 = 39.9 ft-lb of torque. So to get~50 lbs of torque, 50 ÷ 1.33 = ~37.6 so if you set your torque wrench for 38 lbs you'll get 50.54 ft-lbs of final torque. You don't have to calculate the length of your torque wrench in at all. If it's reading accurately at the drive, you simply add in the additional torque of the offset.
  10. It's earned a very poor reputation here, to say the least...
  11. The answer will vary between wrenches, essentially you need to know the distance between the center of the torque wrench drive and the center of the wrench socket/pins area.
  12. Welcome to the loony bin! At some point one of us inevitably lapses into a helpful personality, so stick around and ask about anything and everything.
  13. Sounds like you need an offset holo dot for quick close-in shots.....
  14. 18 - 20" HBAR .308 is perfect for what you're describing. Add pretty much any muzzle brake with good reviews and your recoil will be as tame as you could want. The weight and rigidity inherent to this platform (plus the fact that it's a semi-auto) make overall recoil negligible as a general rule anyways. As long as your eye relief is right, scope eye won't be an issue.
  15. That dude is UGLY. I like it!!!
  16. Yeah, I felt more than a little conflicted about that, but eventually gave in and was like "do our name proud bro"!
  17. You'll have to troll hard to outdo our old friend Damien and his crew-served water-cooled laser blaster... Just so you know.... LOL
  18. Shame on you Shepp, beating up on our newcomers... LOL We're supposed to let them get comfortable before we ambush them dammit!
  19. We can't raise up a generation that understands cold hard facts of life and death, it's for the kids stupid! ;)
  20. Troy has given me good service, where's the beef?
  21. It's all in good fun, don't take the ribbing too seriously. Glad you got it working!

  23. Water gun. Kids love to drink out of 'em, and it's scary looking as crap when you see it.
  24. Gravity is too scared to pull his pants down.
  25. Instant Hot Pockets?
