  1. Do you mean you want to convert to a Mil-Spec buffer tube? Go with either a Chrome Silicon flat wound spring, or an Armalite spring. Check out heavybuffers.com for your buffer needs.
  2. Welcome to the forums!
  3. The only barrel extension manufacturer I know of for large ARs is BAT Machine, you should be able to contact them and get a torque spec for their barrel extension. http://www.batmachine.com/batactions/ar-10/ Their phone number is listed at the bottom of that page.
  4. That is one sweet muzzle brake...
  5. Reliability is good. Groups are a matter of the gun, ammunition, and shooter, but you should be reasonably able to assume 2 MOA with cheap ammo and a decent trigger man.
  6. Yeah Doc, but if you didn't, these AARs would be mostly about friendly fire incidents caused by the geezers who insist on guarding the flanks (mostly so they can empty their ancient bladders without excusing themselves from the main squad).
  7. Pics or it didn't happen...
  8. Hydraulic buffers have proven to add more complexity to the large AR platform and little or nothing else. It's just an unnecessary wear component in 99.99% of it's use. I have one I'll send you for the cost of shipping if you want it.
  9. Welcome from NC!
  10. So anyone stopped by police in a vehicle are an automatic good shoot right?
  11. "Sproing" is tolerable because it comes behind "bang", "click" is what bothers me.
  12. Federal Gold Medal Match is an excellent benchmark round, that's what I've used for a couple rifles now and it's fantastic.
  13. Unplug your cable modem power supply and do the same series of steps, minus the browser clearing. When your computer and router reboot, boot your cable modem back up.
  14. Let me get a stupid question out of the way here real quickly.... Why not stainless?
  15. Ok, here's the rundown. Step 1. Browse to http://routerlogin.net/ Step 2. You should see a prompt to enter your username and password, enter "admin" without quotes as the username. If you've changed your default login password, use it here. If you have not, the default password will be listed on the body of your router under a label that says "Network Key (Password)". Step 3. Once you're logged in, you should see two tabs towards the top left corner of your screen. Click the "Advanced" tab. Step 4. Under the advanced tab, click the link labeled "Router Status". Step 5. In the router status screen, click the button labeled "Connection Status". It should be located in a field on the right side of the screen labeled "Internet Port". Step 6. When the connection status screen pops up, you'll see two buttons labeled "Release" and "Renew", Click the "Release" button and wait for the screen to finish changing. Step 7. Now click the "Renew" button. This should reset your router's IP information. Once all the window activity has ceased, log out of your router and clear all your browser's data. Step 8. Reboot your computer and the router at the same time, and then try browsing to the site. Your problem should be fixed at that point.
  16. When I get home, I'll walk you through resetting your router to fix the issue.
  17. Congratulations on getting here before getting married. We're happy to have circumvented the whole divorce process, and now we can proceed with step #3, "going broke with no inhibitions".
  18. I had this same problem, what Operating System are you using? Also, I need to know your router manufacturer and model.
  19. You're right, I'm confusing comps and brakes. I've been awake for too long... LOL
  20. Don't get too far ahead of yourself, by virtue of being semi-automatic, the recoil on this platform is almost negligible anyhow. Brakes serve to reduce muzzle rise more than felt recoil, although you may well see some difference there too.
  21. We're glad to have you with us, welcome to the forums!
  22. Welcome to the forums!
  23. Unless you can dig up said conversation or they chime in and fess up, the Rule prevails!
  24. Sometimes component choice is as simple as availability, you might buy a Elftmann trigger for instance if all the Geiselle are sold out or backordered... Most of the recommendations here are from direct experience with the product.
  25. Sweet! Great job Magwa!
