  1. Welcome to the forums, love your barrels!
  2. I would start with a recoil spring, either an Armalite AR10 spring or a Chrome Silicon flat-wound spring would serve you well.
  3. Exactly. One or more of your other passions must suffer from this habit before you can claim addiction. It's Rule 34, Section A, Clause #1.
  4. Try the Cooley comp from JP, that thing is downright miraculous.
  5. As usual Tom is right, get a standard to check your calipers or micrometers by, it'll save you lots of headache. I usually wiggle calipers just a smidge with gentle pressure on the thumb wheel, to help make sure I've got the best parallelism between the jaws of the calipers and the piece I'm measuring. Don't crank down too hard though either, you can botch your measurement like that.
  6. Right on! Well, mostly anyways.... one outta two ain't bad. <lmao>
  7. Internet Sale Only?
  8. With his recent track record, we're all going to end up pitching in to get one of those suits EOD techs have to wear.
  9. Serves him right, political correctness is breaking this country's balls. Time for this nation to collectively grow a spine again.
  10. OOOH RAAAHH!! :D Nicely done Ranger!
  11. Oh SURE you were... uh huh.
  12. The PBD would be wholly undesirable without the sauna component, rest assured... when it's time for the icy water, you want it more than anything in the world.
  13. <laughs> :hornet:
  14. I did the polar bear dip last night, TWICE! So here's the story, I'm with the in-laws near Ann Arbor MI, and my brother-in-law challenges me to a PBD. Maybe he thought I wouldn't take the challenge, I don't know, but my answer was "Oh yeah, I'll do it!". 15 minutes later we are in the sauna and the temperature gauge reads 170°F (but it's a dry heat for the moment). Another 10 minutes in the heat and I'm sweating like Jon in church, and then the bro-in-law starts pouring water on the coals. Holy cow batman! This whole time my core temperature had been steadily rising, but now my external temperature was rocketing through the stratosphere! I held on for another 10 minutes of random throws of water onto the coals, and I had to bail out. The bailout procedure is as follows: stagger out of the sauna, head outdoors where the temperature is in the high 20s, run down the pier at the pond, and jump into water that just last night had a nice layer of ice floating on top. WHOOOEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yowsers! That water was FRIGID, I'm talking colder than the ice on Tom's balls when Rsquared is late getting his beer kinda cold. I climb back outta the pond and sit on the dock for 2-3 minutes to let my core temperature and skin temperature settle their differences. Then, back to the sauna for round two of the same punishment. BIL chickens out after round one and round two is conducted all by myself. So, am I the only maniac here who does/has done this? Post up your maniacal exploits!
  15. Listen to the Hi-Point enthusiast!
  16. *Handing him my pistol, butt first*
  17. LOL... Seriously brother, not trolling, I honestly don't know anything about the spec. In my mind, the whole issue is settled by answering the question I asked. If the spec is for each component, each component would be MilSpec independently of the platform, but if the spec is applied to the entire platform, the spec becomes irrelevant because you're mixing MilSpec into a non-spec platform. Savvy?
  18. Merry Christmas err'body!
  19. Well, you've come to the right place to build without going broke.... *tee hee hee, snicker, guffaw, belly laugh, choking* Welcome to the forums!
  20. Is the specification for a platform, or components?
  21. Tom just feels that derailing a dead thread is disrespectful, so create a new one so the dead one can RIP..... LOL
  22. Oh yeah, walk it off bro, walk it off!
  23. *Prepares for butthurt flamequitter paperwork filing*
  24. I'm a perfect gentleman, I don't know what you two are talking about..... :D
  25. Welcome aboard Dale, just so you know, everyone except me is out to get you. Just sayin'.... BTW, got any place near you to shoot extended distances? There's nothing near Hickory.....
