  1. That revelation is imminent my friend! Picked up my lower from one of my gun pushers this morning. It's a beautiful example of what PSA is doing to its customers. There's going to be a write up spanning 4 different forums and probably a video series on Full30 and possibly YouTube.
  2. Time for story time with weird Uncle Matt! Way back when I first got tangled up with this group of lovable meat-heads, I gradually got more and more interested in specialized components, specifically a hydraulic buffer unit that lots of folks had various opinions about. So I started doing my research, and found that generally people who had them weren't impressed by them, and in a few cases caused malfunctions of the same type you've described. Against my better judgement, I bought one because I'm the type of knucklehead who likes to make his own assessment. I quickly learned that the hydraulic buffer unit was a useless POS for anything except installing for the purpose of sabotaging an otherwise useful AR. Here's the moral of the story! When you're doing your research and there's not much feedback on the product, and the feedback that is given is generally negative, you're going to be better off sticking with what's known to work and work well. The SCS is a unsolution to a nonproblem, mark it down as a lesson learned and move on with an effective system that's validated by prevalence, reputation, and history.
  3. Nail. On. The. Head. 😆 You should see the concrete.... I'm getting fruit baskets in the mail from jackhammer design engineers. They'll never know what hit 'em!
  4. Welcome from NC!
  5. Great is his name, and mightily to be praised.
  6. Anything that's advertised as "Mil-spec" for .308 ARs is total BS. You'll get what you get and it may or may not work.
  7. Less jaw jacking, more videos!
  8. That stuff is amazing!!!! Wheweeee!
  9. Happy Easter everybody!
  10. I'm shipping him one, but if someone else needs one and is following the thread....
  11. He's in for a real treat!

  13. Larry, PM me a shipping address, I found one amongst my stuff. You'll need to obtain the vented buffer screw, but it's otherwise complete.
  14. The 1740 will do that, but the 1770 might also suit you better. Now that I have the Mod 1 Grendel, I'm replacing the factory foam in my 1740 with new solid foam & reconfiguring it so that I can put a maximum of gear on the very bottom level. Then when the TSA examines my case, they don't have to shift anything except whole rifles (minus BCGs) off each upper level.
  15. Plenty of room in the hard case brother, plenty!!!!
  16. Here's my case, just FYI... https://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/cases/long-case/protector/1740
  17. Wow, just wow....
  18. I want to win an Ultimate Upper kit, I mean I really want to win one...
  19. Just remember to drag them by the hair this time, not the ankles. I'm still getting a sand particle from time to time when I take a leak.....
  20. Beautifully done, bravo!
  21. There have been a few instances when there was.... Typically right after Robot Ron unloads his goodies off the F150. Tom is waiting for all the suppressor compatible muzzle devices he's bought to be unsupported by any suppressors on the market, then he can spend money on new suppressors and muzzle devices at the same time. He's smart like that.
  22. Welcome to the forums, we're glad to have you!
  23. More info on the AR itself might be helpful. Is it a factory build, a hodgepodge that somebody built? Give us more to work with here...
