  1. The CM901 seems like an anomaly... but there may be an easy answer. The fact that AR15 uppers fit and function shows that the dimensions rear of the magazine well are identical to the AR15 and not the LR308 or AR10. The new DPMS Gen ii boasts that it too has AR15 dimensions rear of the magazine well. It's quite possible that the CM901 is compatible with the new Gen ii upper? Especially since they use the same magazines... I'd search out someone local to you, or see if a LGS will let you play musical-uppers, and try to fit a DPMS Gen ii upper on your CM901.
  2. The Colt CM901 has a mag well adapter that allows you to swap from large format to small format. The adapter is pricey, but allows a shooter to quickly swap from .22lr all the way through to .308 sized loads.
  3. good thing. I was starting to worry about my inheritance. Lol
  4. I was 5 when my dad started me with my first Winchester mod. 72 (.22lr bolt) I had a Daisy BB gun that I used to run around the yard with and shoot small sticks out of it (because the old man wouldn't give me BB's unless he was around). It was taken away from me after I shot my little sister in the back for being a snitch... Snitches get Stitches!!! My son will learn to shoot on my Ruger 77/22
  5. Don't break my mk18!!! Lol
  6. AP should be good to go. They made their receiver to accept standard parts. All the examples above are known for using specialtiy parts.
  7. Just measure the thickness of the rail, above the charging handle opening. 5/16" = low rail 3/8" = high rail
  8. You guys with NiB parts need to invest in FireClean. It was designed specifically for NiB. It cleans and lubricates. The color and finish of a NiB coating is a direct result of the condition of the metal before the treatment. If the metal was polished and shiny, then the NiB will be also. If the metal was dark and matte, the NiB will reflect that. I have several different NiB parts, made from 2011 till now, from 5.56 to .308. It's very easy to distinguish the level of quality between mfgs.
  9. Brownells and Glockworx both have great YouTube channels. Lots of info with those guys.
  10. Taccom3g makes a delrin buffer with a custom spring. That's probably the lightest on the market.
  11. I have a matched Gen1 SI-D set, and I fit my buddies Gen3 upper on there perfectly.
  12. Great idea. They make magnificent stuff. Just FYI. It won't be "matched". It'll definitely fit better than some other company, but matching an upper and lower usually means that the pivot and takedown pins were drilled while the receivers were mated together. If you buy the receivers separately, they will have been drilled separately... leaving a small margin of difference.
  13. IP-Man vs "all of them" = great scene.
  14. No sorry needed. I'm very excited to hear about another LM rifle. I heard something about a new piston system from SI-D soon too.
  15. and this is why I hate machinists... My level of jealousy never decreases.
  16. Are you sure they said "Lapua Magnum" and not just ".338"? I'm only asking because when I met them at the SHOT show, they were only talking about the .338 win mag and the .338 federal... they specifically said they were not looking into the lapua magnum at this time.
  17. There's a reason why the top of the line rifles, known for making small jagged holes, DON'T use polygonal bbls

    jail time

This law will likely disappear next month. The state Supreme Court ruled that law enforcement, CCW holders, and anyone that already is registered as owning a firearm, no longer has to wait the 10 days. California still requires civilians to have a valid firearms safety permit before buying. the California gun grabbers were given 90 days to appeal the decision. That 90 days sunsets this March.
  19. Beach. That's FUCKIN sweet. It looks half khukri and half Gladius... that's a big effin blade!
  20. I have the same krink (3 piece) break on a 7.62x39 build that I've been working on.
  21. This ??? is going to get you some attention.... ahem...
  22. I used rocksett and timing shims to put an AAC muzzle brake on my Ruger GSR. It's only hand tight, but still doesn't move.
  23. Cheaper too! I just watched a video of a guy shooting .40 in his Glock20. He says he's got hundreds through the pipe with no issues. It's not quite as accurate, but accurate enough to plink with.
