  1. I was very tempted to do a large bore caliber. The .450, .458 and the .50 projectiles would be sweet. I even contemplated a .460 Rowland and the 10mm auto. Ron Williams is the pro when it comes to custom uppers like this. He and I have had several conversations about this.
  2. I heard two different reports on the shooter. One said he was a jihadist. The other said he was a failed recruit who had just started. I hate the fuckin Internet right now.
  3. Jail break the phone and convert it to ATT
  4. I was actually only 5-09 1/2 before. Now that the weight is gone, I'm 5-10... it's weird
  5. Damnit. You beat me to the joke
  6. Went to AZ in Oct 2012 to swill brews with some of the guys... I'm 5-10 and weighed 275. One year later, I was down to 185 pounds. Been holding that weight for 6 solid months now. Making me think I can do crazy schit like SWAT or something.
  7. $900!!! Did it come with a Tony Montana sized mountain of cocaine!!!
  8. Unless the new stock is causing the shooter to limp-arm the shots. Perhaps the LoP is too long, or the cheek is too high. A soft shoulder, caused by an uncomfortable stock, can contribute to a failure.
  9. I'm an idiot... http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/sights/sight-sets/ar-15-m16-xti-xpress-threat-interdiction-sights-prod54678.aspx I'll run them short, putting them both on the handguard. Then I can run a 12 o'clock tac light over the front sight, without interference.
  10. Zebra, This is what I'm putting on my patrol rig. No reason for long range sights if I'm running optics. These seem perfect for a 7-25 yard engagement
  11. Send it to our facebook page. I'll steal it and repost it here for you
  12. I had an uncle who was prone to carelessness (as CSM-H can attest). He once used my father's vest as a cushion while shooting at a buck. The muzzle didn't even clear the rest it was on, and the ensuing blast burnt a baseball size hole in the shoulder.
  13. I'm one of those guys who supports a company for what that excel in. I buy S&W double action revovlers, over Ruger. I buy Ruger single action revolvers over anyone else. Ruger makes a great M77, and Blackhawk/Vaquero... but I leave the other guns to the pros who have perfected their art. At the price of the SR762, I suggest a Sig 716 instead. Sig has been making piston operated automatic rifles for some time now. While the 716 is relatively new, the technology concept has long been applied in their previous firearms.
  14. I know you said three different rounds, but are they commercial/off the shelf, or reloads? Just trying to get an idea of cartridge power. Cratering is usually a good sign of over pressure, but an enlarged firing pin hole or thin firing pin can also be the culprit. How does the tip of the firing pin look? Pictures are worth 1,000 words.
  15. Only problem, after you shoot it, you're just going to be hungry a half hour later.
  16. 2 points... really? I didn't even get to the good jokes yet. Is fingerless fapping the same as bangin' an amputee?
  17. You were a hair away from looking like Imschur every time he waves hello. Lol
  18. Mega changed their design on their own. It was supposedly to preempt any action from LMT, but there was never an actual threat issued from LMT towards any other designer. I think their "woe, is me" reaction to LMT getting the patent was more of a marketing ploy to sell their new design and get people to forget about their monolithic design. Look at how fast the monolithic upper flew off the shelves afterwards! Excellent business plan put into action on their part. They get to release a new product, and they have zero inventory from the previous product. The LMT design, especially with their MWS, had nothing in common with the Mega MA-Ten Monolithic upper. Mega played the "boo-hoo, we're just a small company getting bullied by the big guys" card, and a lot of people bought into it. The fact that Les Baer and LWRCi still have a very successful rifle system shows that there is no threat from LMT. I don't mean to crap on Mega Arms (I own two) but they are a FAAAAAAAR cry away from being an LMT.
  19. There's at least one out there!
  20. There was a schit ton of it at Cabelas on my last visit.
  21. In either situation, I'm already jealous
  22. I mistyped the name... I meant the 25 round mag https://store.magpul.com/product/MAG292/PMAG PMAG® 25 LR/SR GEN M3 Window, 7.62x51 Magazine
  23. I have to give kudos to the APEX tube. It's a solid product. My only gripe is that the top rail isn't part of the tube. Although, in their defense, that allows them to make one tube with different rail heights to match the various uppers. I would have liked to better screws for mounting the top rail. I stripped one using a cheap allen key. Mostly my fault, but a larger screw would've been able to handle it.
  24. Ben, what the heck are you talking about? What three screws? What carbon tube? I've had an APEX on my .308 for 2+ years and I can't get this S.O.B. to budge at all. It's as solid as a rock. Did they charge the way they are built/installed since I bought mine??
