  1. :laughing4: Lol... Close. The brass deflector is not the "little flappy-door thingie", instead it is the "little pokey-out nub-thingie" behind the "little flappy-door thingie" <lmao> If you have a slick side upper, it may just be the brass bouncing off the side of the receiver. You probably will notice small brass marks forming in a small area just behind the ejection port. After 100+ rounds the marks will become more apparent.
  2. Very common. That's hot brass (soft) hitting the defector. No worries there.
  3. I'd just like to say.... RAIDERS NATION BABY!!! And, screw you DNP!!!
  4. I'd like to see these finished out to completion before I throw $$$ at them. Hope to see a sturdy NiB or TiN coat, or perhaps some nice Cerakote options. Anything beyond phosphate. So far, it looks nice!
  5. NJ2AS Statement on NJ Gov. Chris Christie’s Veto of Gun Control Measures posted on August 20, 2013 in Press Releases Saturday, August 17, 2013 Yesterday afternoon, Governor Christie vetoed the three most offensive gun ownership restrictions passed by the New Jersey Senate and Assembly this year. These bills were deemed the “centerpiece” of what Senate President Steve Sweeney referred to as his “National Model”. The Governor’s veto of these bills is a monumental victory for law-abiding firearms owners in the State of New Jersey. Thankfully, Governor Christie realized this type of legislation is not appropriate for New Jersey or as a model for the rest of the country. The Governor was correct in ignoring the pleas of gun-grabbing organizations based out of state, like “Ceasefire New Jersey” and “Heeding God’s Call”. These organizations lobbied to further oppress the law-abiding New Jersey firearms owner, but have no standing whatsoever in our state. The project director of Ceasefire New Jersey lives in New York and the organization has no status as a New Jersey Corporation. Heeding God’s Call is a Pennsylvania-based 501©3 that has no business lobbying anywhere, let alone in New Jersey. These gun-grabbing groups are not interest in the welfare of New Jersey’s citizens. Like the prohibitionists of old, they want to come here and destroy something they don’t personally like. The Constitution doesn’t work like that, and it is time they learned that lesson. The members and supporters of the New Jersey Second Amendment Society worked long and hard to send a message to the Governor about these bills. We are grateful that he took the time to review our concerns and to agree with our position. We would also like to recognize the other organizations that played a part in this victory to defeat this “national model” legislation. The California-based Firearms Policy Coalition hosted a contest that encouraged citizens throughout the country to take part in the campaign to convince Governor Christie to veto these bills. We would also like to recognize our friends at Pro-Gun New Hampshire who voiced their opposition to these onerous provisions proclaimed a “national model” by NJ Senate President Sweeney. To everyone that participated in this campaign to prevent the further progress of these bills, we thank you and we give you our promise that we will continue to fight for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in New Jersey and throughout the Nation. You can be certain the New Jersey Second Amendment Society will be there when it counts. Thank you, Frank Jack Fiamingo Presedent, NJ2AS NOW IS THE TIME! www.nj2as.com
  6. Matt is right. You won't be making any friends at the range... Hell, it'll be hard to keep the ones you already have. The Recoil Eliminator is their very best brake. It brakes better than the Cooley brake. If you were going for absolute accuracy, I'd say stick with the R/E.
  7. You can't use the A2 buffer and buffer spring on a .308AR.
  8. I work with two guys who own the VW Golf with the turbo Diesel engine. They get 55-60 mpg on regular commuting. Jeep announced that their 2016 line of Wranglers might have an 8 speed, diesel option
  9. The NFA laws are going to get "California-fied". Our stupid law reads something like, "any device designed to increase the rate of fire of a firearm". I think it all started when someone designed that silly crank wheel that installed in the trigger guard. It turned any semi auto into an old style Gatling gun.
  10. MAG tactical says they are planning a 7.62 version of their lightweight magnesium lower receivers. They were planning on releasing a magnesium upper receiver, to match their 5.56 lower, later this year. They say, after they finish the 5.56 line, they'll get started on the 7.62. I recently bought a MAG 5.56 lower for my wife. I know a few guys have them here. They are super light! I'm planning on a sub-5 lbs .22lr for the wife. I hope to have it finished around Christmas time.
  11. Holy smokes!! My CF barrel took 16 months and I was crying about that. I couldn't imagine longer.
  12. I was getting ready to go to work. I heard someone in the house say,"you have to see this!" I watched the news as the second plane struck the tower live. I was in total shock. I could barely understand what was happening. I was 23 years old at the time. I remember that the incident scared my mom into thinking this was the beginning of WW3. She cried for days thinking I was going to join the military after that. It was a pivotal moment in my life though. I was in the police academy shortly there after.
  13. Who's Tom? I used to know a guy named Tom, but I think he joined a monastery and fell off the grid.
  14. Damn D! Wanna come over and take pictures of my toys too? They say you can't polish a turd, but I bet if DNP took a picture of a turd folks would practically be forced to like it.
  15. We have Carolina's/Adelberto's. I'm sure it's all the same line. Best 24hr mexi-meal you can get. My wife refuses to eat there and swears the food will kill me one day. I won't go after hours any more though. Made a 2am burrito run one night. The closest place is in a very "colorful" neighborhood. Pulled my Rosco on a turd who thought he could come to my window. Even a lil' .380 auto looks like a howitzer when you're standing on the business end. Got my meal and made tracks before he could come back.
  16. Have you tried the Noveske KX3? Guys like them on the SBR's to reduce blast and redirect sound. DSG had the 7.62 version in stock recently.
  17. Slander only fits if there is no truth or facts behind the accusations. I'll admit, I didn't read all the crap in that thread. There's far too much noise to weed through, to find the facts. From the sounds of it, the accuser popped off about some bad practices by the company. Some of which, others claim, the company originally admitted to and then later denied after receiving negative reviews. Whichever side is the liar, they should be eating crow. I hate liars and thieves more than anything. If one,
  18. This is great news.

    Robocop

I'm surprised at all the actors in this. It makes me happy to know that the Robo-batman costume is just a phase he goes through. I was discouraged to see the writers take him away from his titanium look. I want to know what pistol they chose to use.
  20. I won't lie. It's the people at SI-D and Proof Research that are the main reason why I'm looking at property in northern MT. I'm seriously torn between the Kalispell and Great Falls areas right now. Even my wife looks up property in her down time.
  21. Lol, yeah... I may have one or two.
  22. My father had similar happen on a 4x4 trail in his jeep. He and a buddy ended up hiking off the Mnt with a wheel on a stick, hoisted over their shoulder. Luckily they met up with a free range cattle rancher on a tractor along the way.
  23. I'm trying to talk the wife into going to see the new Riddick movie tonight.
  24. I got sued last year for nearly the same thing. I went online and called a former cop (who we just fired) a coward, a criminal and a liar. I posted my comments on a liberal website and started a HUGE battle here locally. He came at me with a libel and defame lawsuit. A judge ruled that because I was a peer (not a supervisor/management), i was allowed to express my opinion. He deemed it a 1A issue and ruled in my favor before it ever went to trial. I just call is as I see it.
