  1. I have about 300-400 rounds of 7.62 steel. I keep it for emergencies only... Along with a spare bolt. I have yet to actually shoot any of it though. In my 5.56 I shoot about 70/30, brass over steel.
  2. I'll lock this thread since the sale is over. @Blksheep; we haven't implemented any rules yet in writing... But I know what you're sayin.
  3. That fuckin rocks!!!
  4. DPMS makes a pre-2009 and a post-2009 rail. The post-09 is just a hair shorter than the pre-09.
  5. I'm torn between the TRIM and the new KAC URX4
  6. Well since we've totally fuq'd this thread.... God knows how much I hate the ASP. What a worthless tool!!! When I went to instructor school, we dressed in the big padded suit and got whacked by the other instructors. I could take the ASP all day long. It's really only good against fingers when they're holding something. I tell students to keep it closed, then flip it and hit with the metal back end. Now, if you get the option for some of that SUPER dense Brazilian lumber... That shyte hurt so bad, I think I changed religions like 5 or 6 times. I was praying to any god that would make the pain stop.
  7. http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Magpul-M4-30-Round-Magazine-MOE-PMAG-M2-p/91112.htm $12.99 (Max order 10) http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Magpul-M4-30-Round-Magazine-PMAG-M3-p/91111.htm $14.99 (Max order 3)
  8. Snagged a couple more P220 10 round mags from "that auction site". Damn these things are getting expensive. I'm half tempted to turn around and sell them again!!
  9. Just want to point out. One of our sponsors, AirsoftAtlanta.com, also sells Magpul PMAGs. They have a great deal going right now. If anyone is shopping, they are worth the look. I think they were $13-$15 ea
  10. Flashlights??? You patrol guys are so cute with your fancy toys. Us Motors prefer sunlight, short sleeves and cool sunglasses! I'm code-7 right now, staring at the flashlight mounted on my motor, wondering when was the last time that thing was in a charger....
  11. That's the new "Super Tricon" trigger. I have no idea which target audience they are aiming for. There's no info on their site about the trigger. Is it a combat trigger? 3-gun? All I know is; A) it's new, and B) it's expensive. Sounds perfect for us. Lol.
  12. Sounds like you need a new trigger!?! The Geissele "Super Dynamic - Enhanced" trigger has my interest lately
  13. OK..... Who's first? It's not my turn. I'm intrigued and confused at the same time. It's kinda like the .45GAP... I'm not really sure what it does, but it sure is expensive.
  14. Midway gets small parts in regularly. If you read through this board, you'll see that all the "problem" threads have a common theme... Cmmg parts! I understand they can make some good parts. They just aren't consistent enough for me to use their parts on a rifle that costs this much money. I use cheap DPMS parts for simple parts like ejection port cover assemblies, forward assists (since i have never needed to use one) and takedown/pivot pins. I use slightly more expensive Armalite for functional parts like the magazine release and bolt catch. I always go for aftermarket safety selectors, triggers and charging handles.
  15. Strictly personal opinion. I believe you should have the longest gas system that'll fit on your barrel. I'd bet a piston operated .308 would work fine with a 14.5" rifle length gas system
  16. Derek- If I had the option at the time, to buy a FA 16" rifle length barrel, I never would've bought my carbon fiber wrapped barrel. FA cancelled the barrel just before I started building, and then started selling it again just after I received my custom barrel. The rifle length gas will soften the impact of your rifle, as the longer gas system will slow the reaction of your rifles cycle. All that being said, I ordered the 18" barrel you posted from NEMO Arms. It's for a friend of mine. I wanted him to get the FA 16", he wanted some god-awful 22" heavy barrel, I talked him down to the 18" HBAR NEMO. If you want a fun, accurate and portable rifle... Go with the FA 16" rifle length. If you want to stretch your shooting out, or you plan to do the greater majority of your shooting from a bench, go with the NEMO 18" rifle length. Either decision you make, is a good one.
  17. I'm going to have to set up a Sac shoot. There's enough of us out here to have our own "greet". No reason why AZ folks have to have all the fun... Of course, having done the AZ "Greet", there's no way we'll have as much fun as them.... Just not possible in CA.
  18. With bullets soaked in bacon grease!!!
  19. In CO I bought hunting rights to a ranch. No guides though. In ID it was public land. I'm interested in a meat hunt. I'll likely just hunt piggies around here. I'd love to shoot some of those "venison carts" they have in the south. I hear the Doe's out in the flat lands are some of the best eatin'!
  20. If you read all his original posts, they get very comedic. This is the best place to read about the original "Mall Ninja" http://lonelymachines.org/mall-ninjas/
  21. I just want the 1911 scorpion grips. Maybe in OD or grey. I'd be happy with any of the railed, commander size, 1911's (Kimber TLE/RL Pro or the Springfield LW Champion Operator) Has anyone seen the new Crimson Trace micarta grips? They look pretty damned sexy too. I'm not sure if they're Kimber exclusive, but I'm debating those too. Why can't Sig and Crimson Trace make me some laser/scorpion grips!?!?
  22. Hell yeah!! No doubt we would have the last man standing. I've been in lots of "situations" at work where I've thought to myself.... This is going to hurt. Look at how they treat terrorist activity over there. Their whole school of thought is, "only soviets get to kill soviets." Take our theater hostage, fine we'll blow the fuq'r up and take everyone out... And if anyone bitches about our tactics, send them to a Siberian gulag!!
  23. It's crap like that, that makes me glad we never went to war. That would've been the nastiest war we were ever In. Those are some tough SOB's over there. I especially like the use of needle nose pliers... very sanitary. I'm sure copious amounts of "wodka" was used for anesthesia, antibiotic and as a recovery aid.
  24. I mailed out my 220 (back to Sig) last week for some light work, and an action enhancement. I'm very tempted to sell off the micarta grips and get the Crimson Trace grips instead. Just waiting on a good deal.
  25. I'm lookin at out of state hunts now. I've done CO and ID. I'm thinking MT/WY area next. Although I wouldn't mind going south too.
