  1. It's a 15gr plastic projectile. Not a lot of bang, but still plenty of kill.
  2. I cannot distinguish envy from hate right now.
  3. You won't be disappointed
  4. Any price under $200 is good. I think dealer cost is $160ish
  5. The easiest part in the world to replace. It's just one bolt, under the butt pad, that secures the stock. Pull one stock off, replace with the other. No special tools or experience needed.
  6. Don't forget about those funny magazines the RRA guys use. They just aren't natural!!
  7. I'll bet if you stayed close to the ground, out of the wind, it would make a decent varmint round.
  8. A cap gun that shoots 4500+ fps!!! Hk (or FN) makes a special bolt and gas system for their G3 (or FAL, I can't remember which) to cycle that ammo. I don't see any way a DI rifle will cycle that ammo. There's just not enough gas and the bullet is moving too fast.
  9. @OFP2651, Slash heavy buffer and a AR-10 spring will do perfectly. If the existing sling mount on the PRS doesn't work for you. How about utilizing that bottom rail? Take a look at the GearSector QD sling mount. Then put a QD swivel on your sling, and you're good to go. It'd be different than everyone else.
  10. I saw that a standard factory load was 405gr. I figured i could go hotter. im very impressed with that. The primary reason for owning this rifle, was to have something to take to Alaska. I was planning on going lighter (300gr-325gr) for some CA hunting. There's nothing out here big enough to warrant a 400+ gr projectile. Even when I pig hunt, I shoot 210's out of my .44mag lever. I'm still trying to talk myself out of a scout rail and a MRD mounted on top.
  11. The only problem is, I think it'll be too big to use iron sights over it. That woul be a deal breaker for me. If that's the case, I may go for a LWD .45 comp.
  12. MidwestPX.com used to make custom 5rnd PMAGs. I have one for me .308 and my 5.56/300Blk. They run great! Magpul should be releasing their short mags this summer.
  13. Did Mike bring his 300 WSM? That thing will wake you right the fukc up!!!
  14. Grizzly Gun Works, .45cal Brake This works like a brake AND a linear flash hider. A tube threads over the brake to act like a Noveske KX3.
  15. I'm hoping the sights make a difference for me. An extra round or two in the tube would be nice too. I was debating cutting two inches off the barrel. Maybe even threading the barrel for a GIANT .45 cal brake.
  16. I'm burnin with envy here. I'm sorry I missed out on this event. It sounds like it was awesome.
  17. I was checking on those Williams sights. Pretty hot stuff. I joined MO yesterday to get an idea of what's out there. I was planning on sticking to 300-350 projectiles. I'm not excited as I was when I started this venture. I was hoping for a rifle as reliable as my Browning .44 mag
  18. I recently acquired a Marlin 1895GS in 45-70. This thing is a real beauty and super fun to shoot. The previous owner swore it shot for shit, and I got it for a steal! I got her out to the range and found that she grouped really nice, but the sights were just WAY off. I had a tight pattern about 8" low at 50 yards, even with the rear sight adjusted all the way down. Looks like its time for some custom work! I'm thinking some fiber optic sights, a longer magazine tube (I'm a Winchester man at heart), and likely a more comfortable lever. I was going to get the action polished up a bit, but I think I'll just wait to see how the break-in phase goes. She's tight, but workable. My cell is taking horrible pics, so here's one I stole online.
  19. She should lose her spot based on her stupidity.
  20. Cremate him and flush him. Done! Better yet, drop his carcass in a pig farm. I'd buy that bacon!
  21. I have mixed emotions. In one hand I like to have the ability, although I'll likely NEVER take advantage of it. No matter how often it crosses my mind. On the other hand I worry about what one jackass will do to ruin everything even more. 6 months ago I told everyone that new laws will force change and evolution. It is nature and can not be stopped. If a tree raises its fruit, animals will get longer necks or the ability to climb. If you outlaw the guns that exist now, someone will create a new gun. If you outlaw the ammo, we will invent another form of projectile.
  22. Sweet deal. I shot about 80 rounds last time out. Never had a failure to function, and it cycled so smooth, I never lost my sight picture through my scope. At 200 yards I was ringing two steel plates, back to back, as fast as I could squeeze the trigger. My buffer detent pin is all beat to shit. I have another one coming in the mail. It's my fault though. My LAW tactical folding stock adapter wasn't screwed in tight enough. The BCG adapter came loose and wreaked havoc in the stock assembly. Nothing that can't be fixed, just annoying.
