  1. Anyone aware if there is a difference in the bolt assembly parts between the Armalite and the DPMS/KAC bolts? *Armalite AR-10 Bolt Parts *DPMS LR-308 Bolt Parts
  2. All Seekins parts are artwork. <thumbsup> Their uppers and their sight mounts are just as nice.
  3. I have that same knife! I've had it for years and carry it everyday at work. Cold Steel knives are the Glocks of the blade world. I have been to Disneyland MANY times since I met my wife. I have CCW carried all but once (and that was because I flew in for that trip). I DON'T GIVE TWO SHITS WHAT THEIR POLICY IS. Hell, my last visit was on the return trip from hanging out with Tom. I was loaded for battle on that trip. They would have called in the Nat Guard if they knew what was in their parking lot.
  4. That is a new price for SI-D. The price it much lower than it started. Originally it was $425 to preorder (back in 2010) then the release date price was $600 in late 2011. That bought you a shot-peened, tool steel, bolt with NiB coating and a stainless steel carrier with NiB coating. I was one of the first preorders. When they finally charged me, they only charged the $325. I haven't seen their bolts recently, but I assume they are the same quality. I spoke to a contact there recently, and she advised that they were going to be making NiB coated BCGs again soon.
  5. I sent this to my wife (a Disney-aholic) this morning

  7. A 7" AR pistol, in 300Blk, could be designed light enough to pack. A .500 S&W would be less cumbersome in a proper holster. Even the Freedom Arms .45-70 would be easier to carry. If you think a bear has snuck up on you, be observant to details. If this stealthy bear has a grey spot on the back of its head you're safe. It's just 98Z5V maintaining his honed skill set. The fact that you were ever made aware of his presence shows he wasn't there to get you. He'll likely finish out his naked nature run after drinking the beer in your cooler. A small price to pay after a brush with death.
  8. Or even better... In 300Blk!!! 220gr floating at 1000fps will roll anything with two or four legs.... And if you live in the right area, throw a can on there so you don't wake the old lady when you clear the front porch of unwanted visitors. <thumbsup>
  9. You could do a .45 ACP rifle build... Then have the barrel re-chambered to fire .460 Rowland! You could still plink with 45 ACP, and then hunt with the .460! Plus they use the same G3 magazines! <thumbsup> It's no where near as big as the 458, but it's still a big bore and a lot cheaper to shoot... My buddy had a 458, and he said it was abut $3 a round... When he could find it. The .458 Socom, the .450 Bush and the .50 Beo.... I have no idea where to find these anymore, aside from reloading.
  10. I would be super excited by a .50 cal shot capsule <thumbsup> I could make my own CA legal "Judge" out of a 500 S&W!
  11. I started mine this afternoon. <thumbsup>
  12. I bought the 3M stuff for my Magpul MIAD and my PMAGs.... Meh :P .... It's ok I guess
  13. :o I like this guy! <thumbsup>
  14. Lets us know all about it. I'm contemplating a 1-4x scope soon for my 14.5". I'd like a 1-6x, but the $$ involved is more than I'm ready for.
  15. This topic has been moved to Sales and Coupons. [iurl]http://308ar.com/forum/index.php?topic=5997.0[/iurl]
  16. That looks really nice so far. I can't wait to see the finished product.
  17. I'm glad WMD is standing up and alerting the public. I bought some of their stuff (through Brownells, so I'm safe) and I love their work. The last rifle I built had a 100% NiB coated trigger assembly, BCG and upper/lower receiver. I love that stuff!!
  18. Besides the .444 I mentioned earlier, I was never a big Marlin shooter. However, I am quite the fan of my Winchester and Browning lever rifles. I have a .22lr Browning BL22 that is a phenominal rabbit-popper! I also have the Browning B-92 set. Those are fukcin outrageous shooters. My father did his dept rifle qual course with the .357 mag B-92! (Just to prove it could be done)
  19. I know I joked earlier, but Miami FL is the Mecca for the offices of Brazilian manufacturers. Don't say I didn't warn y'all. It's kinda scarey when you think about Taurus/Rossi putting a bid on Freedom Group too.
  20. But have you seen my new bike? I don't even care of the movie sucks now... He's a motor-cop, he automatically gets "this sucks" immunity! 21. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see more small offices popping up as "Corporate Headquarters" and manufacturing to be moved to South America. I have a few friends in northern and central Brazil who rave about the growth they have made in the last few years. Oil, Steel and Lithium are enormous resources being extracted at accelerated rates down there. Not to mention that Taurus/Rossi is already proving that mass manufacturing can be successful. I say we all plan a field trip to Brazil to explore our options... Besides, if you had a company that you had to move... Where would you choose to move to?
