  1. So jealous. I could shoot this all day!
  2. CP-D has been hitting the news rags hard lately. I think they’re sending out some huge x39 shipments.
  3. You’re making us look bad
  4. I saw this starting and knew it was going to explode. You better believe I’m flagging their GB account and sending GB a quick email about their actions. I don’t trust this seller actually has .308 API rounds. The lack of communication skills and butchered vocabulary is screaming SCAM!!! The price is about right though. I just grabbed a huge box of black tip AP 30-06 (M2AP) and they were nearly that price.
  5. Ole’ Jgun got his flat bottom 125gr up to 2600 FPS.... just sayin’
  6. This guy... owner of one of the most functional and lightweight .308 rifles in this group... and he has a freezer to prove it.
  7. I have a growing box of MBUS sights. They are almost weightless, and I still won’t use them. I came to the realization with my Troy Battle Sights. I had them installed for YEARS and never used them once. Why did I have $200 back up sights??? If my primary optic died, I’ll just change guns or go home. I’m not saying there isn’t a time and place. I just don’t think 99% of the rifles out there qualify for the need.
  8. Funny... I was just looking at a custom Win ‘73 Trapper that has been rechambered into 45ACP. http://www.codyscowboyshop.com/
  9. This is a constant topic, “how to make the fat chick ready for ballet dancing”... the truth is, and what steers most away from the task, of you want it done right... you have to drop $$$. The easiest way to drop lbs is in: 1. barrel: get yourself a 16” Faxon Big Gunner 2. handguard: Apex CNC is under 1 lbs 3. BCG: JP LMOS with adj GB and SCS Buffer 4. Stock: MFT Minimalist or AB Arms USS these four options will drop close to two pounds from most rifles. The next thing would be, don’t pile a bunch of useless shit on your rifle... like pointless fuckin backup sights. A simple change that won’t be much actual weight, but a considerable amount of “perceived weight” would be a lightweight muzzle device. They can be a bit pricey, but a Ti muzzle device feels significantly different than a steel one. We have a couple guys here that hunt with 8 lbs rifles, loaded and kit’d up. It’s not hard to do. It also depends on the “look” you are going for. Ultra-lightweight parts are generally made of carbonfiber, so you have to be comfortable with that Ferrari-gun look.
  10. I can bump fire with my bare hands.... so what does that mean for me?
  11. If it wasn’t for short stroking, I wouldn’t have any stroking at all.
  12. So we’re good now? Then we can start making “short stroking” jokes now… Or is it still too soon? Seriously… I’ve been fighting the urge all week!
  13. Honestly. There probably won’t be any more movement or deformation. These rifles need to mate parts. Your rifle has most likely settled and you won’t see much in the way of wear and tear now. If you can live with it, in its current state, you should be fine for thousands of more rounds. If it’s just the slight rattle that bugs you over time, stuff an accu-wedge in there and call it a day.
  14. Personally, I identify as the Black Hawk helicopter. You may use masculine pronouns to refer to me, but they must be written in all CAPS. Preferably in bold print, and one font size larger than the rest of the text.
  15. My kids are going to be pissed when I scrub "Kids YouTube" from their watch list. They can watch gun shows like Daddy. I honestly hope one of the larger providers grabs onto this opportunity (PornHub??) to build a new community.
  16. Who made your upper and lower? If you have so much movement in your upper and lower, that it is causing an elongation of your takedown pin hole, you have some fitment issues. I have an AR built in .338 Lapua magnum, which delivers considerably more recoil than any standard cartridge, and the receiver shows no signs that it has been fired. My theory is, A) your lower receiver and your upper receiver do not mate well, or B) your lower receiver is not built to perform under the cycling stress of the caliber you're shooting. It’s entirely possible that your lower receiver is not strong enough (be it poor design or poor choice in metal) and that is causing a flex between the pistol grip and the stock. That little flex is causing the strain at the pin hole. This was a common area of failure for the original polymer lower receivers. You really only have two options… 1. Separate yourself from the rifle and make it somebody else’s issue. 2. Find a machinist that’s willing to do the work, and have him bore the hole out to a larger diameter and re-shim it with some kind of a bearing or other insert. JP makes a pin that will tighten that up, but that’s just a remedy to the symptoms and not a fix to the root issue. If your upper and lower are from the same company, or if you have an off-the-shelf rifle, you might be able to contact the manufacturer and get the parts replaced??????
  17. Something similar. Front wheel went in a ditch that was too deep to roll out of. I did a phenomenal Superman through that breakaway windshield.
  18. I rode that ride. Never told anybody that I did it, and made the witnesses swear their silence. I don’t have the heart to tell my mechanic. He’s been trying to get my front-wheel-wobble fixed for years. He thinks the forks were installed wrong on assembly… But there may be another story… One that involves me defying gravity.
  19. My motor partner came back from school and his duty bike was still all fubar from the class. I actually had to ask him, “how did you scratch the top of your windshield?” These bikes are all kinds of screwed up
  20. I’m upset that we only have one page.
  21. Are you using a direct thread or a QD suppressor? you can get some back pressure out of a blast can, like the PWS CQB or the Noveske KX3/KX5.
  22. Any of the LMOS systems with an adjustable gas system would make for a fun gun.
  23. The guys on this forum see an open thread like fat chicks look at a dance floor. If music is playing we’re taking that shit over!!
