Faxon's New Full Semi Lower Available Soon!!!!!!

You really can’t beat the price of an Aero Precision, PSA or an Anderson Arms forged lower. We had them on sale here recently, three for $129. -
Don’t even fucking tempt me! I’ve been looking at 12.5 inch barrels all day… All because “somebody“ had to go make a little “something“ And now I want to build something to go head to head with him. Part of me says to go with a pistol build… And the other part says to go for a 20 inch coyote slayer. It will all depend if I find a deal on a 1-6X or a 4–12X first.... shit, I think I have a spare 4-12x in the garage....

Tom the guy is a POG… This is probably the second time he’s ever even picked up a rifle, with the first time being in basic. -
That’s a GREAT looking rifle!!! Nice job I did a woody a few years back. I love the classic look. I’ve been very tempted to build another... especially since BAD Inc released theirs. I built mine on a Colt A2 using a 20” HBAR I believe mine was from Lucid. This was grade 3 of 5. I couldn’t afford level 4 or 5. Lol

That’s MY rifle!!! That BAMF has a 13.7” barrel with an Armalite pinned comp. One of the sickest rifles I’ve shot to date. 1st trigger pull I was dead nuts on target, and blasting steel. -

You're running a bit fast, but it's not really an "issue" if you go bang every time and you hit your target. You could get a slightly heavier buffer, or an adj gas block, and it'd clear the "issue" up. -
ArmaLite Vs DPMS Barrel Extension
Robocop1051 replied to Earl o Sammich's topic in Building a .308AR
You can still use the DPMS BA barrel in an AR-10, you just need a DPMS bolt to mate to it. -
I never heard of that. I haven't had the pleasure of dissecting a GII yet, but I can't imagine it being too far off from standard in regards to the bolt hold device.

My grip, on this pistol, makes me want to ride my thumb over the hammer area, in line with the frame. It almost feels as if it was made for that. I don’t know how a grip like that will effect my shooting. If a 9mm cylinder was available, this would be a no brainer for me. Not that I’m preferential to 9mm over .357mag, but I do like options. (I also get lots of free 9mm ammo to play with)

So sick and tired of gawdam skin pinches when reloading these itty-bitty mags. Ever since I bought this I’ve used the smallest grip sleeves. I regularly carry this with an ext. 8 round magazine. I keep a pair of 9rd mags in my pocket. The problem is during a reload, I always pinch my gawdam hand.... well, at least I used to. I finally got fed up with it, but didn’t want to lose the sleeve altogether. I’m spoiled with having the slightly longer pinky-real estate. It was time to bust out Mr Dremel and get to work. I had a few spare sleeves to work with so I wasn’t risking much. The first magazine is the most important rounds in a firefight. I’m completely satisfied with the feel of this chopped sleeve for reloading and continuing the fight. My primary magazine is unchanged, but both my reloads now wear these sleeves.

I’ve always liked how the subcompacts fit, but hated shooting the Ti/Scandium models, especially when loaded with magnums. 6 rounds instead of 5! All stainless steel! Smoother trigger! Im not 100% sold on the new cylinder release. Its not bad, just different. It’s a push button (similar to an automatic) and not the traditional style button. Let’s all agree that we’ve been spoiled with S&W for generations and change is difficult to accept.

I didn’t buy her, yet. Stopped by the local pusher and saw it on the shelf. I was honestly just killing 30 minutes, and showed up unprepared to see something I wanted. The shop only had the basic SS model. I saw the CDP model online, and I think I’m love.

The port inside the gas block is generally .120-.125 in diameter. The Gasport on your barrel is generally .07-.09 In diameter. So you can see, there is a lot of room to play with alignment. It’s kind a like covering a golf ball with the bucket.

BROWNELLS actually has a “true black” marker. If you try to use a sharpie, it just turns purple.
-
I could still harvest about $50-$100 with the parts off that. More if it’s all Colt.

I’d wrap gorilla tape on both sides for protection. There are plenty of things you can use for coating afterwards. The cheapest, easiest, and possibly best looking would be black BBQ/Oven paint. It’s high temp resistant and a nice flat black. If it ever gets scratched, just spray it again.

The washer on your muzzle is called a crush washer. It’s a very soft steel and can be easily filed down to size. It’s silly that it’s even on there. Completely unnecessary. If you had a dremel, I’d say make small relief cuts on opposite ends of the crush washer, then break it off with pliers or channel locks.
