  15. I recently received my order from Clint at Heavy Buffers, and I am impressed. Drew and I have spoken about doing some buffer and spring comparison's before , so I figured I'd share what I have for info……. Clint, well done, I can't wait to shoot both my existing rifles reconfigured and my new build, thank you! PWS Factory buffer Heavy Buffer Slash's xhcarbine weight 106.1g 239.5g spring data length 11.25 " 13.5625" coil width .078125 (5/64) .078125 number of coils 29 33 Larue OBR Slash .308 rifle buffer 124.7 285.8 The spring in the Larue must be an Armalite, it was exactly the same as the one sent from Clint. I have no way to test spring tension, the only measurable missing in this comparison.

I've heard everything, but I broke mine in, in all new guns, 1 shot clean bore, repeat five times, three shots clean bore, repeat twice, five shots, clean bore, repeat twice, and then good to go. Is it right? Who knows! Where did even hear it? Couldn't tell you? It hasn't hurt, and it does't bother me to do it that way.
