Pssshhh... doesn't matter how far away I am - you'd still get me with that damn MRAD... :hunter: <lmao>

I've really, really been thinking of picking up a machine for this, primarily for 300 brass. Right now, I'm only converting once-fired NATO brass, which is annealed very well. Still some annealing on it once it's cut down. I just hate cutting out the primer crimp on them. Someone posted up an automated machine that worked incredibly well - I looked that thing up and it was decently expensive, but looked worth it. Very good article on the process: http://www.6mmbr.com/annealing.html

Yep, they were all red chevrons. They worked damn well. I can see the green being easier to pick up, though. I've got a Leup that's got green illumination in it, and that is very, very easy to sight.

Wow. You are full of yourself. I think it's ironic that you used Wiki as your justification... <lmao>

You know it's tough - you can hurt it but you can't kill it. They should make tires and sandals out of it.

FACT - You definitely need to train with a shotgun. Just because it patterns, doesn't mean you can just point and shoot and be good with it. Here's another FACT for you - military, I would receive 18 rounds of 5.56 for weapons zero. 40 for qual. 30 for night qual. 10 for NBC qual. 98 rounds. Only had to qual annually in a support unit, every 6 months in a combat arms unit. Shooting (up to) 98 rounds didn't mean I was TRAINED. It meant that I got that much to QUALIFY. For training, it was 2,000 rounds per man, every quarter. That IS a FACT. If you doubt that... then I must be your Merchant of Doubt. -
Not your fault, brother, not in the least. It was just after you received that improved extractor that pics of "old and new" were posted, side by side. It was only after you posted those pics (recently) that I saw that, and I thought that first extractor looked wrong - meaning, I've never seen an extractor that didn't have a cutout, but that pic you posted sure didn't. That damn thing had a "rise" to it, like they forgot a machining step on it. Didn't have anything to do with what you originally described in this thread - because it's not something that you'd normally think about. Did you post that in a different thread? I can't find the pic of the two of them in this thread, now... EDIT - Found it - here it is... It was in this thread: See that in the top extractor? That's a BIG difference in the normal machining, unless the camera is playing tricks on me in that pic. That looks like they completely missed machining the groove for the rim... That was old versus new, in your pic.

Eff that - I'm going back to the Bacon pic... They look good, smell good, taste good... and slowly kill men. That schit is SO true. I'm gonna get the :bat: for this comment. I'll brace myself.

Holy schit, he did another Rap Battle... <lmao> SF vs MARSOC... <laughs> The out takes... <lmao> "Navy SEAL Boy Band" will probably be one of the vids in the future - I just feel it. That will ENRAGE a former member here... :rant2: :stfu2:

Unbelievably cool - seeing the look on his face when he realized he was watching his own "landing." He knew that Doc was filming it, but just never, ever got to see it. Very, very cool. <thumbsup>

Dude, you haven't been around in AWHILE! How you doing?
-
Brother, my only experience with them is the 4x fixed ACOG that was issued to the MIL, the TA-31. One of these days, I'll have some of the variable scopes, but that's the only one I've used.

Too late Shib! She's converted to Kimber!!!

Once batteries are extinct, I'll be able to throw a micro red-dot with amazing accuracy, bonk a bastard in the mellon, render him unconscious (or deceased), TAKE all his schit from him, and recover my non-damaged, non-battery'd micro red-dot... completely silent (except for the "thunk" on his mellon), and without expending a round. All for the pain of carrying around an extra 3 ounces of non-operational aluminum. And, I'll still have iron sights on that GSR. Take THAT!

I can see the benefits of this - what I see is rolling from a day role into a night role. Night setup might include a night vision device forward of the scope (scope mounted on upper receiver), infrared laser on it, large bright light... Something in a static position. Day use wouldn't have a night vision device, as well as other things, and be more suited to carrying that heavy 308 biotch around. I like this.

For the 480-acre plot, that comes out to 487.50 per acre. That math includes the 40-acre separate parcel as a free bonus... That's where my house will be. Holy schit, this is a good deal. AND, it's on a river in Tejas. That automatically means that I get to fight the BLM, at a later date.

I noticed some machining marks on mine are different from a standard carrier, and holy schit are the gas rings tight. I'll run this thing in some rifle on Sunday, and see what's up. I think I'll take out a few carriers, line up all the gas rings gaps the same, and prove a point, too. "You MUST stagger the gaps in your gas rings!!!" No you don't...

Mike, it's ONLY a Cali thing. Doesn't pertain to Free Amerika. <thumbsup>

The Pro Carry II is an awesome pistol, brother - she has good taste. <thumbsup> There are really only two functional differences between that pistol and the Tac Pro II - and you can add both onto it as time goes by. Ambi safety and flared mag well. You've already got the night sights. Awesome purchase!!! :hethan:
-
Eff that. Magnification is for fags. :tfg: That red-dot on the GSR rings steel out to 400 yards, with very little holdover. That's about the ideal for what that gun is designed for. For schit over 400, there are others to fill that role. >:D  Now, you're making excuses for a glass purchase... <lmao>

Throughout all this, I think it was your original extractor. I keep meaning to come back to this thread, grab the pertinent posts, and talk about it. I always run out of time. I've never seen an extractor without a cutout for the rim - but your original one didn't have a cutout for the rim. That thing was actually angled UP where the cutout should have been. That "improved" extractor had the same cutout that every other one has. I wouldn't call that "improved" if it's a necessary part of a functioning rifle. I think they only changed the lug on top so they could tell the difference between a jacked up one, and a recent-production one. I'll grab pics one of these days and point out what I'm talking about. I think your original extractor was junk, and they missed a machining step. Doesn't matter what company it was from. My $0.02. Pics of that extractor earlier in this long thread would have helped identify that, but we didn't know that then. <dontknow>

I've shot 150gr softpoints through mine, and they function just fine. Feeding a softpoint shouldn't be an issue for you. It shouldn't hang up.

Where's greenmist - I'd like to hear his take on being allotted 238 rounds of 12ga. Per Year. That's not even enough for one range event, if you're training properly. -
I'd take that Hi-Power, clean it (WELL!!!) and call it my own. That bastard wouldn't last long in the evidence room... <lmao> IT'S A HI-POWER FOR FUK'S SAKE!!!
