  1. I agree.
  2. I have my grandfather's Mossberg 500, a single-shot bolt action .22LR rifle, and a Sears & Roebuck "Ranger" break action double barrel side-by-side shotgun. <thumbsup>
  3. Shibi, brother - WATCH OUT for this guy when you're out on the MTB, man!
  4. That's pretty damn cool. Welcome aboard, from AZ, man. <thumbsup>

    well....

Very nice execution of the 1911. Fantastic acquisition, man. <thumbsup>
  6. He FINALLY got the Elite Iron for that MRAD? 'Bout damn time already. Good job, Ron. <thumbsup> Pics of the bipod on the bolt gun, dude. Why you holdin' out? <dontknow>
  7. Same thing happened last year - in a school. Less than a month after Sandy Hook, a kid went into a high school in Taft, CA, with a shotgun. Not many injuries. That fell out of the news quickly. How many here forgot about that one already?
  8. VTAC padded sling - very good sling. Hate to see this go. Someone will be lucky - that's a damn good price.

I've got 3 pounds of it, and 2 more pounds of 2520, primarily for heavy 5.56 loads. Haven't started loading with it and testing yet, through. As soon as I start working something up, I'll get the info in this thread. <thumbsup>
  10. Love that FDE, and the little bit of green - makes the landscape in the background look pretty good. <lmao> I WILL convert Ron to FDE one day. He will ultimately realize that it is the perfect color.
  11. The same was true for almost everything. Hell, brother - this time last year, and throughout most of last year, the only thing that was available was 20ga, 30-06, 7mm Magnum. Thank god I have a 30-06. Twinkle Toes (Porter, my stepson) just got a 20ga Mossberg 500 for his 18th birthday last week, just because of that.
  12. JT, I've got a KX3 on a 7.5" barreled 5.56 pistol - I'll check what buffer I have in there, but I'm pretty sure it's just a standard buffer. Shoots fine.
  13. I'm completely surprised that this is just hitting the news TODAY. B of A has been doing this for years. The screwed McMillan, then screwed American Spirit Arms. B of A took what Holder said seriously - and it was pitched in 2011.
  14. Ever since Alan Mossberg stepped down and Iver Mossberg took over, they've been coming out with much more for the "modern" public. I'm a big Mossberg fan - many of them in my collection. My MVP is one of my favorite rifles, by far. <thumbsup>
  15. Good progress - and damn nice rifles!!! You gotta get some pics of that M1A up here, man!
  16. Glad everyone here is okay. I think? Still wondering about the ones that haven't checked in yet...
  17. Drew, Lesson 65b, man! You better not miss this one! You were just asking this combination, brother!
  18. When it's folded, there's a blocking plate that moves out to lock the bolt carrier in position - you could shoot it once, but it wouldn't cycle. I know that blocking place is strong as hell, but I'd think it would damage the device. <dontknow> I like that Gen 3 setup - that might have to go on the 9mm pistol. <thumbsup>
  19. This sums up the need, versus the intended use, pretty well. I think it all comes down to this: "Point of view is everything here. If SWAT members show up in a fortress on wheels to rescue you or your child, or to pick up a wounded officer, it’s insulting to even be arguing about the sticker price. On the other hand, if the same buggy trundles down the driveway to deliver a foreclosure notice, take away the kids in a custody dispute or confiscate the guns … you might be more likely to subscribe to the “jack-booted thug” view of increasing government power." Whether they need it or not - located close to a very large metropolitan area. If they can honestly put themselves in a situation that has truthfully happened in the past, and can say, "during THAT situation last year (**or whenever**), we could have used something like that..." If they can do that, they'll probably be in another situation like that in the future. No such thing as coincidence.
  20. ^^^ That's our "IN" right there!
  21. $hit, if I count bolt guns into the mix, I've got about 9 .30-caliber rifles. I think the question was about semiauto .308s, though... <dontknow> It's all about the FACTS, right? You're right. It's a simple math problem. Actually, I jointed this site on or about January 10th, 2010. Today is April 28th, 2014 (for me right now). In 1569 days, I have 8865 posts with this one. That's 5.65 posts per day. You made your first post here on Feb 4th, 2014, and have 306 posts to date - 28 April 2014, again, by my time. In 83 days, you have 306 posts. 3.69 posts per day (with mathematical rounding that you do in grade school). You're trying to insinuate something about the number of my posts, when I've got two more posts per day than you? I guess that's how you do your math - like a politician? We can turn statistics any way you want. If you want to go there. That doesn't really "peer into my personal problem," as you state. Just shows that you don't know what you're talking about. Again. Oh, and I was never LE. Never claimed to be. Never, not once, ever on this board, or anywhere else. Just so you know. <thumbsup>
  22. Those pigs are in bad shape... <lmao> AWESOME!!!
  23. Yep, I'll combine the two closest ones into an oval track...
  24. That's me, with firearms, and anything with an internal combustion engine. Buy, don't sell... I'm NOT a hoarder... :ugone2far:
  25. You didn't miss that bipod inside joke, did ya?... It was up there. DNP did it... Again. <lmao> <thumbsup> Excellent job, Dirk. I was ready, but saw that you already got it. :happydrunks:
