  1. Keep it, brother - keep building that pile, too. <thumbsup>
  2. Nice looking barrel, brother! I'm racking up another parts-bin as we speak, but I'm still waiting on the receivers and rail. Rail should be here tomorrow. Aero Precision just got the receivers back from annodize today, so it'll be late next week before I get those in my hands. Then I need to paint. Gonna be two weeks before I can shoot this thing. :-[
  3. ^^^ That might be true. I plan to run the hell out of a S3G this coming weekend, and get a video up here - might be better in another thread. Was planning to put it right in this thread. I can consistently get split times of 0.011 or 0.012 seconds between doubles and triples, but I don't know it I can do that over a 30-rd mag...
  4. Ron has the tacticals, all over the place. I think he has spares for rifles he's planning on building in the future... <lmao> I've got a NM set, but it's tweaked beyond standard minimum weight. We could send a gauge back and forth, and see what we all get, from the same gauge. <thumbsup>

  6. Yeah, I swear by them. If you don't have a positive grip on the pistol, it's not going to fire a round. There's no way it'll go off accidentally unless you grip it like you should be when shooting. Throw it on the ground, whatever. It won't AD on it's own, with a grip safety. I love 1911s so much that I looked for 1911-like features when Jon (that A$shole) talking me into a plastic pistol. I went with a Springfield XD LE model because the damn thing was almost a 1911. Grip safety plus thumb safety (thumb safety only comes on the LE model in the XD line). Once you use a grip safety, you'll love a grip safety. <thumbsup>
  7. Very, very interesting to see this - the only difference is the primer, but the CCI numbers are over half of the WW numbers. I looked at the other loads, and there aren't "same load but the different primers" in there. I'd like to see more of that, and see if there really is a primer difference. Extreme Spread and Standard Deviation.

Sandy Hook, and the BS attempts after it are the DIRECT reason we can't find half the stuff that just used to sit on shelves, ready to be purchased. Powder, for example. Never had an issue finding powder. Hell, even primers sometimes now. I was calling Mike last night trying to see if he knew of any H110 or Lil Gun in the city, anywhere. Nothing... For half a year, you couldn't find .45 ACP, 9mm, .40, 12ga, 5.56 or .223 Rem, 308 Win... Online was the only way to get it, and you paid out the a$s for it. When you could find a vendor that actually had what they advertised as in stock, really in stock. Sandy Hook is THE reason, buy that or not...
  9. Guys, got a call from Greg asking about the valuation of a piece. It's someone he's working with right now... Here's the gist of it: 1903 COlt .32 ACP, 1927 date of manufacture, fired ONE time. Condition is between 99~100%. Inherited, and history of the firearm is unknown. Is this firearm worth shooting or not shooting? Will shooting it bring the value down? So, info for Greg would be greatly appreciated. I've seen very nice ones going for $1400~$1500 - what do you guys think? Micro, weigh in here, brother! <lmao> Looking forward to input from SS and Terry, too. <thumbsup>
  10. For the .22LR, I'm not sure on operations, since it's the 22 - some 22 replicas are weird, with functioning differences that their bigger brothers don't have. On the 1911, you don't have to have your grip safety engaged to pull the hammer back, and I haven't had any issues with grip safety pressure and engagement, when you grip it. Nor grip safety snagging. Not sure on the 22 version, man. <dontknow>
  11. That would be the Fulton, brother - DPMS makes them for Fulton, at the older DPMS spec, the slightly taller one. It's worth it to wait for it to come back in stock at Fulton. <thumbsup>
  12. Yep, plus Accurate Mag for US-made versions of the AI mags. Still similarly priced to the AI genuine mags, though. Just as good, every bit. In testing with the Rem 700 DBM setup, I thought I'd be able to run my Ruger GSR poly mags through it - doesn't pick up rounds in the 700. Feed lips are too thick on the GSR poly mags, and it sets the round (and mag) a little too low for the 700 bolt to grab a round. No worries, though - run the GSR poly mags in the GSR, and use the Accurate Mags in the 700. Of note, the Accurate Mag 10-rounder will actually hold 11 rounds in the mag body, and you can still lock it into the 700 DBM on a closed bolt. You can have a chambered round, plus 11 in the mag, for a total of 12 rounds of ammunition in the rifle. No extra tension on the bottom of the bolt with 11 rounds in the mag, and you can still cycle through 12 rounds just fine. <thumbsup>
  13. Saw this little gem last month, but recently noticed that is available now at DSG. Not much info out there about it yet, even on the Geissele website: http://geissele.com/super-gas-block.html It's precision investment cast from 17-4 precipitation hardening stainless steel, which combines superior corrosion resistance with high strength. It is designed to fit under most full length free floating rails, such as the Geissele Super Modular Rail. The bore of the SGB is machined to closely fit around 0.750" diameter mounting bosses found on most M4 carbines, AR-15s and AR-10 type rifles. There are two possible mounting solutions that can be used for fastening the SGB to the rifle barrel. You can get it in the silver stainless version, and you can get it nitrided, also. What's unique about it is: it's a set-screw type, but you can pin it to your barrel at home. No special jigs, no special drill bits - just a 3/16" drill bit and a hand drill. Geissele includes the coil pin to pin it. This will be used on Dawn Marie's 300 BLK build.
  14. ^^^ We just got spammed... Yep. Nuke that account, quick-like. <thumbsup> <thumbsup>
  15. Craziest question I've seen asked from somebody that already owns Armalite rifles in California. Since you own Armalite rifles in California, you obviously know some ways around laws, or you've been there (with your registered rifles) for a very, very long time. You, as a Californian, obviously know about the chart that pertains to you... http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf
  16. Yeah, the upper that matches your lower. No kidding. More often than not, you see issues on the .308 AR platform when you're trying to mix-n-match parts. THAT is when you run into problems with "my gun doesn't run" questions. Get the upper receiver that your lower receiver manufacturer makes. Seriously.
  17. Did it work better with your trigger? That's the biggest question, without any photos necessary, man. Probably a first-heard from them (Battle Arms) considering a fitment problem with the G2S.
  18. I've seen, in person, most of the guns used in Hollywood. They're owned by Long Mountain Outfitters. <thumbsup> http://www.longmountain.com/ You like apples?
  19. Lesson 65b... <lmao>
  20. Vids, micro - we need some vids! <thumbsup>
  21. Full auto sear. <thumbsup> You need more than just that, though. Trigger with it's disconnector, lower that accepts those (not just the third set of holes, either), hammer. Registered lower... Jackass was just looking for a reason to give me another warning... <lmao>
  22. BAT$HIT!!! I think Larry nailed it earlier.
  23. Hey, he can handle it - he's been shanked with a broken tequila bottle from a squirrel wearing panties. Of the "Purdy" pink variety type. I'm just sayin'... <lmao>
  24. Hey... spade is a spade, right?... <laughs>
