  1. REAL Dissipator!!! :hail: Brother, gas port size. Check that thing, next chance you get to see him and get it to the range. Single round in the mag, lock back test. Varying ammo. Report results. I'm thinking the gas port needs some drilling out - and he's got the tools to measure it, and drill it. No kidding, that's it.
  2. That wasn't a comment against you for posting the link, brother - I just don't want him buying something from them, and we're stuck troubleshooting that POS for the next 10 years... <lmao>
  3. It's been said here many, many times - if you need a forward assist to chamber a round - on a 308 AR - then you shouldn't chamber that round in the first place. Spring pressure alone is MORE than enough to chamber a round in these things. But, the forward assist DOES work on them. Don't need any damn serrations...
  4. Won't be your last 308 AR either, man. I'm just sayin'... <lmao> You're gonna be fun around here - I can already see that. <thumbsup>
  5. Don't need those gills/teeth. This ain't 5.56. It catches on the shoulder, at the diameter change. It'll seat the bolt into battery every time. Red arrow, pic below.
  6. Put up a pic of that (your) bottle, loaded with the oil. I'm off Thursday, so I'll grab one. I need to try this out. I live in a fine sand desert, so our results should be similar...
  7. <laughs> <lmao> Awesome, brother!!!
  8. Got one on order - it'll be running a "30 caliber clip" for sure!
  9. Homie - you missed the opening paragraph in my post... <lmao> Bet I'll get them before your Blackout is finished...
  10. Sweet, brother! You're gonna beat me - who will be beating Jon!!! <lmao> He's WAY behind the power curve here...

  12. Jerry is giving DeLeon some hell!!! <lmao>
  13. Only have a little bit more, brother - that builder just might be full of $hit! Edit - he might be talking about the gauges that have the cut-out in the base, so you don't have to remove the ejector... <dontknow>
  14. Warne measures differently - which is why this discussion is kinda important. You guys need to know where these measurements are to/taken from, in order to get the right-height stuff. ADM is different. Warne measures to the bottom of the scope tube mounting area, not scope centerline. ADM measures from mounting surface to scope centerline.
  15. JD Machine.
  16. In that link, the one at the bottom is even a 300 Win Mag - still for $449.99. <thumbsup>
  17. Something like this, Matt? This is a nice pic of the rifle I want. Well, except for ONE THING... I would NEVER put an Atlas on this thing, though...
  18. Remington 700. Period. Especially since you made this comment: Nothing else out there has the aftermarket support for it like the Rem 700 does. Here's a new Rem 700 WITH a scope, $450.00. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Remington-ADL-Scope-Rifle-Combo/1368627.uts
  19. Fuk that - if convicted felon wants to vote, he can do what every other convicted felon that wanted to vote goes through - make YOUR OWN packet and submit YOUR OWN presidential pardon request. That horse$hit is an INDIVIDUAL REQUEST and an INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY. It's none of the federal govt's fukkin business to try to get that for you. EDIT FOR: My "horse$hit" got edited into "horse poopy," and that wasn't gonna fly... Not tonight... :bat:
  20. That's what I was thinking when I read the OP's stuff - even though the barrel maker might not know what the fuk he's talking about... <dontknow>
  21. It seems I'll be testing out a carbine-gas 14.5" 300BLK barrel soon. <thumbsup>

  23. Fast and Furious defendant gets 30 years in border agent's killing Published February 10, 2014Associated Press TUCSON – A man convicted in the shooting death of a federal Border Patrol agent during a firefight that revealed the government's botched gun-smuggling investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison. Manuel Osorio-Arellanes, who is from El Fuerte in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, is the only person to be convicted in the Dec. 14, 2010, shooting death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry near the Arizona-Mexico border. U.S. District Court judge David C. Bury handed down the sentence, 360 months with credit for time served. The shootout erupted just north of the Arizona border city of Nogales as Osorio-Arellanes and four other men who are accused of sneaking into the country to rob marijuana smugglers approached Terry and three other agents who were targeting such rip-off crews. Osorio-Arellanes was wounded in the shootout and was the only person arrested at the scene. Four other alleged rip-off crew members fled to Mexico. Two of the four are now in Mexican custody, while two others remain fugitives. Osorio-Arellanes maintains he was not the shooter who killed Terry, and prosecutors agree that evidence supports his claim. Still, they say he is liable because he was a voluntary participant in the rip-off crew. Two rifles bought by a gun-smuggling ring that was being monitored in the Fast and Furious investigation were found at the scene of the firefight, though authorities have declined to say whether the murder weapon in Terry's death was linked to a purchase from the investigation. Federal authorities who conducted Fast and Furious have faced criticism for allowing suspected straw gun buyers for a smuggling ring to walk away from gun shops in Arizona with weapons, rather than arrest them and seize the guns. Agents allowed the purchase of 2,000 guns, but they then lost track of more than 1,400 of them. Some of the guns purchased illegally with the government's knowledge were later found at crime scenes in Mexico and the United States. The guilty plea by Osorio-Arellanes in October 2012 marked the biggest conviction to date in a case that embarrassed the federal government and prompted a series of congressional investigations. Members of the gun-smuggling ring that was being monitored in the Fast and Furious investigation have pleaded guilty to federal charges. Prosecutors had recommended a 30-year sentence for Osorio-Arellanes.
  24. Shift Angle Sensor will eventually get you on that one - it gets everyone sooner or later. I'm just sayin'...
  25. On that rig, you can almost take care of heavy duty clutching yourself - about all it takes is different shift weights in the primary clutch (3 of them in there) and a different spring in the secondary clutch. Some guys change the ramp profile of the helix in the secondary, but that's not as important as the shift weights and springing. EPI sells all the parts. You'll need a special tool, or a custom-made tool to change the spring in the secondary - you let that nut loose without those two sheaves being compressed, and that biotch will come apart and take your head off.
